  Be warned of the third party they use to screen potential residents, ApproveShield. I was really looking forward to moving in here, but once the application became a headache, I decided to do some research. I found ApproveShield discussing private information on Google reviews. They publicly discussed a woman’s credit score issue with her name attached to it, as well as discussing another man’s personal information regarding his paystubs and income documentation. ApproveShield also openly discussed a teacher’s contract dates when responding to a BBB complaint. It is not safe to give this third party personal information as they blast it online for all to see. An employee contract is private, as is credit score information and income documentation. ApproveShield also has the nerve to tell another person that “all information is treated with the utmost level of security” as they leak private information potential tenants have given them. ApproveShield also has a horrible rating on the Better Business Bureau. As much as I wanted to live here, it’s not worth the risk of my private information being given to such an unethical third party. I expressed my concerns to Silo Creek, and all they said was “well if you don’t lease with us I wish you luck.” Absolutely no help. I’m not sure who they want to lease to as anyone with any sense would not risk their livelihood this way. ApproveShield also requires potential tenants to hand over their bank login, as well as a three way call with them and a representative of your bank to gain very sensitive information. I understand needing proof of income, but handing over bank login information to a third party company who is openly discussing personal information on Google and BBB is just too invasive and very inappropriate. I did not complete the application process because of all of this information that I found and am out $210 in application fees. Save yourself the headache and lease somewhere else that is not involved in such an unethical third party.

  Shoutout to Danielle, the on-site maintenance tech mgr. at Silo Creek Apartments, for her professionalism, diligence, and quick response in resolving every issue and concern that came up. Her dedication and attention to detail truly made a difference. I also want to thank the entire leasing team for being so welcoming, accommodating, and helpful throughout the process. Moving from out of state to Lafayette could have been stressful, but they made the transition smooth and seamless. I truly appreciate everyone for going above and beyond to make me feel at home. Highly recommend Silo Creek Apartments!

  This apartment complex is truly immaculate. The grounds are kept so beautifully that my only complaint is that they never seem to stop manicuring the place, which is definitely not a bad problem to have. Toni, Bailey, and Andrea are always available to answer any questions and are a pleasure to talk to. It often feels more like chatting with friends than speaking with property management. Danielle and the rest of the maintenance team are just as awesome. They are friendly, upbeat, happy to help, and do an excellent job keeping everything in tip-top shape. The whole team really feels like a dream team. I have never lived in an apartment before, and I truly appreciate that this experience has been so great. The pool and amenities are fantastic, and having so many shopping options right in your own backyard is a huge bonus.
