  I loved living at the Jefferson Oaks Apartments! It is a very quiet and safe gated community! I had lived there for over 4 years and I always had great responses for any maintenance issues! And Mr. Thomas, the owner and landlord, is simply the nicest man you will ever meet! He worked with me after a couple of surgeries. The complex was well maintained! It has been an honor to live there! I surely will miss it!!

  Jefferson Oaks Apartments is an absolute hidden gem in mid city. I lived there from March 2021 - November 2025. Very quiet besides Jefferson Hwy depending which unit you lived in. The maintenance (Carver & Company) was stellar. The owners lived a couple units down from me and I can’t stress enough how important that was for the upkeep and well being of this complex. It was a privilege to have lived there. If you are a great tenant and pay your rent on time, you will never have any issues. The rent was shockingly cheap for the location and as I said before, it is very quiet. Mr. Elkins is a more than fair and reasonable man. Mr. Elkins and management does not put up with tom foolery and maintains a proper living standard. Great for young couples, singles & even older folks!

  As a military Vet I have been harassed I also Been staying at this property for seven years never had one violation, they entered my apartment without my consent. I brought awareness to it. Two days later I received the eviction notice, we went to court, and I won due to illegal misconduct. If you are black or Hispanic or anything, other than white as a race, you are not wanted, you will be evicted for no cause, my experience at being at Jefferson Oaks Apartments I have been racially discriminated against and I have reported them to the EEOC and the Better Business Bureau also filed a lawsuit

  It was a great place when Wayne was there. It went downhill fast after that. Lived there over 5 years. Moved out after my apartment was flooded twice from the vacant unit upstairs and they didn't even replace the carpet pad. EDITED 06/13/2025 in response to the response to my review. I still have friends that live at Jefferson Oaks. I've seen them recently and they tell me management is just as bad as when I left. EDITED AGAIN 06/13/2025 to be clear this is wholly negative feedback. Jefferson Oaks management was atrocious after Wayne left and to my knowledge that has not changed. It's quite a stretch to take the fact that I still have friends there as an endorsement. Moving is a big decision, and not everyone has the luxury of being as mobile as I was. It took my apartment flooding twice, and finding my electrical meter was swapped with my neighbor to finally get me to move. Maybe focus the weird energy you're taking to edit these reviews on managing your property and taking better care of your tenants and you'll have better reviews.
