- NHNeelix HMay 3, 20191.0Buying a trailer is like living in a car, it’s the only home that depreciates in value. Most people also don’t own the land they plop this garbage down on. So when the lot landlord raises rent, and your can’t afford it you have to move. Trouble is once a trailer home is set and it settles if you try to move it you’ll basically destroy it. But of course Clayton would never tell you that.
