I do not recommend renting at The Grove at Lyndon! Terrible management! I have been dealing with a serious unresolved ventilation system issue in my apartment. The system produces extremely loud mechanical noise and strong airflow, which constantly disrupts my sleep. I can’t sleep with ventilation system on. The airflow also circulates dust throughout the apartment, which significantly worsens my medically treated dust allergy ( it’s blow so hard). I reported this issue multiple times. Maintenance workers visited and even indicated that the system likely needs major repair or replacement. However, management refused to perform proper repairs. Instead, I was told by the property manager to “accept this as normal” and that nothing would be fixed. He just laugh, and also refuse to determinate lease without penalties. So… Communication from management has been dismissive and unprofessional. My emails were ignored, and my concerns were treated as if they did not matter. When I requested lease termination due to health and habitability concerns, corporate management denied the request without offering any solution. This has been a very stressful experience, and I feel completely unheard as a tenant. I would not recommend this property to anyone who values quiet living conditions and responsible management!!!! Also, manager told me that I can just close the thing, or just stop using ventilation system. As we know right now, it is super cold outside (we have storm) and apartment gets really cold. So I’m choosing between sleeping but in a really cold apartment with 10 blankets or have a warm apartment, but do not sleep at all. And you know what? I decide to turn off the ventilation system, because with this thing on, just impossible to have any sleep. I suggest the apartment manager to go and sleep in my apartment; let's see what he says then.

I just moved out of 7712 apt. A in December and it has 3/4 different types of mold actively growing inside. I had to get two separate mold inspections paid out of pocket by me. The apartment refused to do so. Both inspections showed active mold growth. In July the maintenance man visibly saw the mold and cleaned it with bleach. I kept insisting we still had mold and they either said we didn’t have it or they would just place a dehumidifier. At one point a maintenance man cut a whole in our ceiling and said he would “test” it ? Which we never heard anything back after that. Cutting the whole in the ceiling made the mold on the ceiling grow faster and spread even more in the bathroom. This went on for about 3 months of going back and forth to just be neglected. After the first mold inspection, they went against the mold inspectors recommendation and hired a carpet cleaning company to just clean the mold out of the air duct, which caused it to spread even more. After the air duct cleaning, I broke out in hives all over my body since I am highly allergic to mold. There is also quite a few other apartments along with ours that has an insane amount of mold/mildew growing on the bathroom ceiling. They just scrub that off. The apartment smells awful like ramen noodles when you walk in and ever since they cleaned the air duct the smell got worse. They were told the only way to kill the mold is by using an ozone machine - again, they chose to hire a carpet company instead. The carpet company’s workers I have on video gagging from the smell coming out of the air duct. that was also full of baking soda, for some reason. They refused to reimburse us for the mold inspections when it was their responsibility in the first place to take care of the mold they visibly saw. You can call the health department on them as soon as you notify them of mold and they do nothing about it. Do NOT let the maintenance men touch it or tell you you don’t have mold. They are not qualified to do that. They were very neglectful and did NOT provide a safe and habitable environment. There is 6 months worth of evidence. I highly recommend living anywhere else. If they move you into this apartment request a receipt of prof they disinfected it with the ozone machine. Quinton the property manager has begun to ignore my emails regarding our deposit that we still haven’t received. It’s been over the 30 day time frame they have to return it. The reviews on their website have to get approved by them, that is the only reason they have a high rating on their website. I tried to also share this review on there aswell and it hasn’t been published yet.

I wouldn’t recommend this apartment to any of my friends. I’ve been living here for a week and there’s been bugs in my apartment every morning when I wake up, the apartment hadn’t been cleaned when I arrived (and the staff didn’t offer to clean it after I mentioned its uncleanliness). The walls in the apartment itself have been painted with that generic paint that covers over stains, hair, and bug parts (you can see parts stuck to the wall). The maintenance crew is awesome, which is why I’m giving this two stars, but nothing else about this apartment complex is pleasant.

My wife and I have lived here for the past 2 years and have nothing negative to say about the community, the staff, or the Amenities offered. This is a wonderful, quiet community with courteous, efficient, and wonderful office staff. The maintainence staff are equally as excellent, always handling any issues within a day or so and being professional, thorough, and providing good, effective fixes to any issues we had. I really can't recommend this community more if you're moving to the Louisville area and are looking for a safe, comfortable place to live!
