  Not sure about the one star rating. But I put a payment down for the single wide for them to hold it we were so close to getting done when there was a snag. So we had to back out. Has for getting the or money back… We have waited 2 weeks for. Now they can’t not find the refund stating it went to another place and they had to call corp office over the matter now we are having to wait another week. I told them I will not be waiting. Any longer they keep saying we don’t have the money here to give us back the refund and I told them I will not wait. I asked if I could give my debit information they call it money laundering how is that when it’s my money… then He stayed will what if Jesus come then u won’t get it…. What does that have to with it right now…. I told him not to play the what if Jesus comes… I called corp office back and told them this is not right and why does he get off of playing that card. This was not fair how do u say this to someone and how is this money laundering and is this right to speak to some like this… I need my money back asap but I can’t get answer

  First of all, this place will talk you out of a warranty.. second of all within 3 years of owning the home, the plumbing just fell apart.. plastic pipes throughout the entire home held together by glue.. walls and one bedroom started to buckle.. floor area between the kitchen and front room where the seam as, started to bubble up. They offer no help after the sale.. you get what you get.. which in my opinion is the shaft. I'd never buy another Clayton home. And their financing department, uses Vanderbilt. Yeah don't go to them either. Even if you go to another place if they use Vanderbilt I'd walk out..

  Do not ever buy from this company. First they are overpriced. Second, they do not put their homes together correctly and use cheap construction. They didn't put the plumbing together properly and sewage was running under the trailer for over a year before a plumber was finally called at our own expense and discovered. Their loan company, Vanderbilt are a bunch of crooks and raise the mortgage on you and will not work with you to get payments that you can afford. They gave a 3 day notice to get out and they changed the locks! Clayton and partner, Vanderbilt have some kind of scheme going on and I warn you all not to trust this company.
