  We had a house fire so we found a property we liked while we rebuild, and the application process was a nightmare. Absolutely 0 responses to our texts, but lots of automated texts reminding us to do things we had already done. We had to contact a third party to have SCUDO call us just so we could pay them and rent one of their properties. Then, we move in, and the house is disgusting. The toilets are mess. I cannot take off my shoes since the floors are so gross. All of the counters are unclean. There were bones in the sink. The drawers and appliances have gunk in them. There are at least 8 lightbulbs out throughout the house. The fire alarms are chirping/need batteries replaced. There is a bathroom just missing a toilet paper holder that appears it was removed from the wall. All this in a rental that costs more than 3k per month. They've been utterly impossible to contact except so far as you can file something online. If I were this landlord, I would be furious and utterly embarrassed. Edit: they finally got ahold of us and stated that their team would be here the following day, but refused to answer multiple calls and texts requesting confirmation and time clarification so we stayed home all day - unable to fully unpack due to the filthy condition of the home or leave to run extremely important errands as our house burned down. No one showed and no follow-up or explanation was provided. SCUDO should not be used for anyone looking for a quality rental.

  Questions were all answered in a timely manner, home was better than expected. Communication clear. Overall - seems like a fantastic company to work with as a tenant!

  They rip people off! Charging people to fix some items which are the landlord responsibility (rodent problem and filters). They don't return calls and when they do fix things items are often left in the parking lot. Most places allow you until the 5th of the month. Instead they charge you 50.00 if you pay on the 3rd. They raise your rent but don’t do any upgrades or keep the building hallway clean. They stated that tenants are responsible for keeping hallways clean. I feel they are trying to make money off of the tenants. I'm thinking of contacting BBB to see if what's legal and what's not.
