Predatory rental company and once they have you in thier grips good luck no one up there even has a clue what's going on with half the places they rent then once they price you out of a shifty house that's falling apart and you've been responsible for keeping in living condition they throw an extra charge at you cause they don't even give you enough time to move unless somehow between getting a new place paying them last months rent you have money to hire a moving company and a cleaning company they're gonna hit you with another months worth of rent to cover the one month before they get another poor sap into there shifty houses

Before I start let me first say thank you to Karsyn she was very helpful but.......we recently applied for one of their properties we used their 3rd party BOOM app to apply it wasn't working properly I called and spoke to the lady in the office regarding it not letting me link the ways to verify the income and asked if I could just send the income verification to her but she said we had to use Boom and gave me a number for them so I could call and get help. I called but reached a recording that said they were scheduling calls 7 days out and to leave a message and then hung up. First of all we don't have 7 days to wait for a call! At the end of the application process it asked if there were additional documents so I was able to upload all of the income verification there. I submitted everything on a Thursday shortly after I did I noticed the home we had applied for that I was just told was not rented was taken off the market. I reached out and double checked on Monday morning was told that it was still available and our application was still being processed that was about 8:30 am by 10:30 I received a message that they had received a deposit on the home and it was no longer available but our application could be switched to another property so I had it switched and was still in the process of trying to get the Boom app to work properly but before I could. I immediately got an email and found a message from BOOM saying Destination properties had denied our application due to inadequate income assets for the property our app had been switched to. Rent on the 1st property was 1,300.00 and 1,500 on the other one. We have excellent rental history no judgements or evictions, clean backgrounds, and excellent payment history. I don't have credit I'm a country girl was raised on cash money not credit but I have verifiable guaranteed income from 2 different resources and he has an excellent credit score of 762 and a little over 12,000.00 a month gross income take home about 10,500, 2 vehicles both paid for. We were denied due to no open first mortgage accounts he has a paid in full closed mortgage, and no assets. I wasn't aware open first mortgage accounts were necessary to qualify for a rental property and not enough paid down balance on student loans. Keep in mind student loans had been paused during the pandemic then in 2023 the government still allowed another year in which missed payments did not count as defaulted and did not give negative credit reporting, then we went into the save plan which put the loans in forebearence up until present it is now time to start paying again. So can someone please explain to me why either of these were just cause for denial without all the added BS! The yearly rent on a $1500.00 a month property is 18,000.00 the math is not adding up if they require 3x the rent someone cannot do math! In the denial message it will tell you that the final decision is not made by Boom it is made by the property manager but when I called I was told the property manager for the property would not be back until Tuesday so my question is if I told you we were having problems with BOOM and the property manager has the final say why couldn't the property manager have reached out and offered to help when they returned instead of letting the application be denied for no good reason especially when it hadn't been reviewed by them. We met ALL of their rental criteria and was still denied. Please be careful when filling out applications if you are denied make 100% sure you know why and that the reason is legit, unfortunately it was not legitimate in our case and we are out $150.00 and no house. So please be careful money is tight out here and nobody has $150 to just give away like that.
Should have checked reviews prior to, they got me for a application fee $75 , and never once have I been able to speak to any one seems I’m not the first they have got and refuse to refund the money even though my app has never been used for anything and from the looks of it over priced run down housing and the office people have no clue about anything and are of zero help avoid this place at all cost , I will get my $75 back one way or another count on that . Avoid these incompetent crooks I can refer yall to a better more affordable NICER places than here do your research prior DO NOT USE

Mike was great, I had a pipe fail Christmas Eve and he came out immediately and got it fixed!
This review is for Mike, the maintenance guy at Destination Properties. He was incredibly nice and helpful at getting things in good shape after we moved into our rental house. It great to know that someone like him is available and timely if you have urgent issues.
