    This is an update to my review because I genuinely don’t want anyone else to go through what my family has. About a month ago, I left a review explaining that the apartment we were given had roaches and wasn’t even move-in ready. We were so excited to move into our new home, but that excitement quickly turned into disappointment and stress. Since then, we’ve been trying for over a month to get our security deposit and rent refunded, and we’re still getting nowhere. No one answers the phone, no one follows up, and every time we ask for the corporate office’s contact information, we’re refused. It’s heartbreaking to feel like we’re being ignored after everything we’ve been through. The model apartments they show are beautiful, but please don’t let that fool you. The apartment we received looked nothing like what was promised, and the condition it was in was completely unacceptable. At this point, we’re having to consider getting an attorney involved just to recover money that should have been returned already. We never wanted things to get to this point, but we feel like we’ve been left with no other choice. I’m sharing this because I truly hope no other family has to experience what we did. Moving should be an exciting new chapter, not one filled with frustration, financial stress, and unanswered calls. Please think twice before renting at South Ridge Apartments.

    Do not live here under any circumstances. I was shown a beautiful unit with new appliances and linoleum wood floors. I was given a unit with appliances older than me, dirty carpets, and a dirty out of order fireplace. There is a severe leak in my bedroom, the dishwasher floods the kitchen when in use, and the fridge is broken, temping at 60 degrees. They've repeatedly deleted my work orders for these things without resolving them. They have sent maintenance for the fridge, it works for a week, then all my food spoils again. This has happened 3 times now with the fridge totalling to over a month of it not functioning. They also towed my car that was documented on the lease from a legitimate parking spot, costing me $600 to have it released day of the tow from the company. Also, people in my building smoke cigarettes inside, making my unit constantly smell like cigarettes, including my clean clothes in my closet. Lastly, the place is absolutely infested with roaches. I am a meticulously clean person, have set out traps, deep cleaned everything, and I still see bugs daily. I've frequently called management and they are dismissive and rude, promise to fix the issues but never follow through. I will be moving out as soon as I can afford it.

Los servicios dejan mucho que desear: la basura la recogen cuando quieren, el problema con el estacionamiento es grave y en invierno las calles no son limpiadas, por lo que pueden pasar días sin poder salir del complejo. En mi caso, el aire acondicionado lleva una semana y media sin funcionar en plena temporada de calor. Es algo muy importante y aun así no me han ayudado. Todos los días me dicen algo diferente y el problema sigue igual. He tenido que dejar de trabajar en varias ocasiones para ir a la oficina, y cuando regreso a casa nada ha sido reparado. También reporté que el piso se está levantando y tampoco han venido a repararlo. Si no arreglan el aire acondicionado, que es algo vital en esta temporada, mucho menos van a reparar el piso. Si pudiera dar una calificación menor que cero, lo haría. Por favor, lean todos los comentarios y también lean mi experiencia. No vale la pena pasar por esta situación. Pero si uno se retrasa en el pago de la renta, ahí sí responden rápido con una multa. Espero que esto les sirva a quienes estén pensando mudarse aquí. Inglés Before moving into this complex, I strongly recommend reading all the reviews and the negative experiences shared by other residents. I am only now doing that myself, and I am realizing how many serious problems this complex has. Communication is poor, the customer service is bad, and the staff often come across as arrogant. The services are disappointing: trash is picked up whenever they feel like it, the parking situation is a major problem, and during the winter the roads are not cleared, leaving residents unable to get out of the complex for days. In my case, my air conditioning has been broken for a week and a half during one of the hottest times of the year. It is something essential, yet no one has helped me. Every day I am given a different excuse, but the problem remains unresolved. I have even had to miss work on several occasions to go to the office, and when I return home, nothing has been repaired. I also reported that my floor is lifting and becoming damaged, and no one has come to fix it. If they will not repair the air conditioning, which is essential during this season, they certainly will not repair the floor. If I could give a rating lower than zero, I would. Please read all the reviews and read my experience as well. It is not worth putting yourself in this situation. However, if you are late paying your rent, they respond very quickly with a late fee. I hope this helps anyone who is considering moving here.

    Stay away! 3 weeks. Week one asked all that was required and showed prices. Week 2 was meant to be a tour and they couldn’t do it because they had none available to see. Week 3 took in pay stubs because they told me to do so. Once the application is payed they stop answering the phone and act like They don’t know what’s up. Then They will cancel your application and take your money. Don’t even give them a chance. They are shady. Only 2 ladies are really nice but Stephany who was meant to do my process just didn’t check mails, not answering the phone. Stay away she will take your money, might be her MO. Another red flag after app was payed is that I went into the office and a lady came in saying her AC hadn’t been fixed for months and that it smelled like dead animal.

    I couldn’t begin to explain my frustration more. I’ve been apartment hunting for a while now and was very excited to find affordable apartments nearby my family. When I made an appointment at a specific scheduled time. I expected the leasing agent to be present when I arrived, but she was not, and the manager actually walked up to me and told me that she was on her break and would be a while. She also specified that the specific apartments I was looking at online are unavailable due to their being an issue. I know from speaking to other residents the issue is an infestation and their are rodents/bugs in the apartments. The manager, then began to lie to me and told me that there was no issue contradicting what she told me in person which is what made me the most frustrated. She continued to try and reschedule a tour with me over the phone when I called to complain and try and figure things out. I told her I would be willing to reschedule a tour if she was able to disclose to me what the issue was within the apartments. She told me she didn’t have to disclose that information to me and after I stated that it made me uncomfortable that she wasn’t able to be open and honest to me about what was going on within the area I could possibly be living in she continued to tell me I could come back now because the leasing agent is back and there are completely different apartments that she can show me. (that were most likely out of my price range and not what I scheduled to look at online) very unprofessional. as a manager when somebody is calling to complain, you don’t say that you’re leasing agent did nothing wrong by going on her break when she had a scheduled tour… you apologize on her behalf and give your client reassurance. she spoke to me some what professionally, but being dishonest with people and being careless of their time is a major red flag and highly disrespectful.
