My experience here has been completely unacceptable, especially considering how much we pay to live here. Within my first week, the apartment stayed around 80 degrees for almost an entire week, and it took numerous complaints and multiple maintenance visits before the air conditioning was finally fixed. Then, the washer left black lines and residue all over my white clothes, and one of my roommates experienced the same problem. I found black residue inside both machines, along with rust looking debris and buildup around the dryer’s lint-filter area, and I had to clean everything myself. I have been afraid to wash my clothes since because I do not want anything else ruined.
On top of that, while I was simply adjusting the angle of the showerhead not twisting or removing it, it fell off, hit me directly in the head, and caused me to bleed. After dealing with an extremely hot apartment, damaged clothes, dirty appliances, repeated complaints, and an actual injury, management offered only a $250 gift card. In my opinion, $250 does not begin to make up for everything that happened; that amount alone should go toward replacing the clothes ruined by their washing machine. These were not small inconveniences, and nobody should experience this many maintenance and safety problems immediately after moving into an apartment. Based on how these issues and the compensation were handled, I cannot recommend living here. This is not what you expect paying 1600 a month completely unacceptable.
