I am not one to leave reviews but this apartment complex needs one. In the entire time we lived at this apartment (13 months) there was black mold in our apartment which we made the office aware of on multiple occasions. The maintenance time would essentially just put a Band-Aid over serious issues every time we called. Please do not move here unless you want to face hazardous living conditions and incompetent personnel alongside overcharging. This apartment complex does not ever have a constant, consistent management team. It changes on a regular basis in a very temporary manner and it makes getting anything done nearly impossible for residents. Like I said, do not move here unless you want a burden on your back. I am an Army veteran so I understand poor housing conditions but I would honestly rather take my chances in military housing. Do not move here.

Wouldn’t give security deposit back after black mold was discovered in the locked utility closet

I usually don’t do reviews unless I feel it’s necessary but let me start off by saying the application process here is horrible. I was told initially the application process would take 48 hours to complete so I unlocked my credit for 3 days just to give them ample time to run my information. They literally ran my information on day 5 by this time I locked my credit again. As a result in part I was denied residency. The other part was for an offense that happened close to three decades ago. Staff be fully transparent with people. If you don’t accept people at all with certain backgrounds advertise that. If you say the application process is usually 48 hrs mean that. Us working class people don’t have time to waste. Side note I wasn’t trying to hear this but I did while waiting to speak with staff I noticed someone was complaining about this place having black mold so maybe this denial turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Future tenant just go in with your eyes wide open or better yet skip this place altogether.

This apartments communication is horrible they never pick up the phone it’s always a 3rd party when you need to speak to someone. The property manager never calls you back nor responds if I could give them a 0 I would because the lack of communication is horrible I feel sorry for those who live there and need a work order put in.

This is the WORST place to live. Do not believe any of the recent postive reviews left, especially the ones praising Lacia. Those are definitely people paid by her, or her friends, because everyone that lives at the apartments knows that she is the most unprofessional manager to exist. She literally yelled in my friend's face when all she wanted to was renew her lease. Carter-Haston needs to fire her and actually bring in qualified staff. The management sucks, and you will end up paying thousands more, only to live in shabby quality. Honestly, with how bad the management is, you will have better luck living in a pothole on the road. The higher-ups in corporate need to do better.
