  I wish there was an option to give -10 stars. My mom rented with this company for the past year and I feel so bad for her for what she has had to deal with. Moving in, the house was not thoroughly cleaned and the carpet was filthy. There were pet stains throughout the home, dog food in random places all over, grass was not cut, etc. My mom had to rent a carpet cleaner on her own out of her pocket. The house is dated and there were many plumbing and hvac issues throughout her stay. They dragged their feet on everything and began to treat her like a burden rather than a paying resident. She went about a week or more without air in the summer (100+ degree weather) and then went even longer without heat in the winter. There were recurring plumbing issues throughout different areas of the home and they would suggest YouTube videos for her to self-correct rather than sending out a professional. There is a broken light outside of the home that she requested to be fixed after noticing foot steps near her window. They did not care. They were very rude and aggressive with her. My mom has high-blood pressure and other stress related issues that have worsened since living here. She is a black woman so I am not sure if that influenced her experience. I know that she paid her rent on time and gave them no reason to mistreat her. It seems they had an issue with her many work order requests and instead of doing their job and treating her properly as a resident, they chose to petty. The icing on the cake is the $3000 in charges after my mom moved. The condition of the house was better moving out than it was moving in. My mom has been praised for how she’s left her rental spaces in the past and I personally helped her clean during move out. I hate that she put her trust and money into this company for them to take advantage of her. That was her home. She should have felt safe and comfortable at all times. God bless the poor people who have it in their heart to use their power to treat people this way. Response to comment: We do not share the last name. She just moved from 250 Sycamore. I do pray that race did not play a factor. My mom was not treated fairly. I wish you would have rectified the issues when she was your responsibility, but she has moved out at this point.

  Mariana was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. She was quick to answer or return calls and respond through email. Very helpful as far as the Applications and Collections Director.

  PMI was extremely helpful in my moving process. From unit viewings, to applications, all down to signing the lease! Mariana, Reginald, and honestly everyone I came across in this transition were more than informative and helpful. I look forward to getting my keys and seeing all PMI has for their tenants!

  I have always been particular with people providing me service. I guess that comes with aging but I want to highlight how PMI NWI has been giving me the kind of peace I never had with our previous rental. Everyone has been nice and I always get answers whenever I call or visit the office. Bea and everyone from the maintenance team always makes it easier for me. I just submit a request and things go smoothly. Though sometimes repair take longer than expected and get rescheduled they will let you know

  I want to share my experience with PMI. They rushed me into signing the lease by insisting I had only 72 hours to sign and pay the security deposit. When I moved in, I discovered a filthy house littered with sawdust, construction materials, and muddy floors. There were over 30 issues with the property--evidence of rushed, incomplete construction--yet they insisted on having me move in anyway. Problems ranged from windows that wouldn't fully close or lock, to holes in the ceiling with exposed wiring, and leaks in the basement. Just three days after moving in, a pipe burst and flooded the basement with sewage. While maintenance fixed the pipe right away, they left the sewage to dry for four days, which led to a severe respiratory infection for me and eye infections for my dog. It was disgusting and unacceptable that they didn't clean up immediately. Now, about 45 days later, although they have resolved a few issues after I got city code enforcement involved, there are still water leaks in the basement, holes in the ceiling, and windows that don't lock (among other problems). Because I live on the first floor, the unsecured windows make it scary knowing anyone could potentially enter from the front yard. Despite all these ongoing problems, PMI expects me to pay the full monthly rent of over $1,300. It's outrageous, and I would be lying if I said I don't regret signing the lease.
