  My fiance and I lived at Shenandoah in a 1B1B for about 2 years (2024-2026). Overall, it was... fine. We were located near some of the dumpsters, which were constantly overflowing and/or left open, scattering trash all over our "yard" area, leaving us often cleaning up trash that wasn't ours. We were accused of not picking up after our dogs, which was not only untrue but was also impossible to say was us considering MANY, many neighbors walked their dogs near our area as we were a corner unit (and once again, near the dumpsters), and MANY of them did not pick up after their dogs (which we watched them do.. often.). Two of the front desk girls were lovely (shoutout Devon!) but we found the manager to be unfriendly & condescending the few times we had to deal with her. I utilized the gym often, and it was kept clean despite being small. We did feel landscaping and the exterior of the complex were often forgotten about, especially compared to where we are currently at. Finally, the move-out process was a bit confusing & we wish the communication was a bit better at that time. We did love our location, close to Target and eventually Dutch Bros which was great, and it was only ~10 minutes for me to get to campus and even less for my fiance to get to 65 for work.

  I really enjoyed my time living here. I lived in the apartments off Union. The value for the rent is pretty great. A little deck/patio, storage closet outside, vaulted ceilings, available fiber internet, granite counters, stainless appliances, and modern looking interiors for a great price. They have really found a sweet spot. The only issue I had was the parking. Parking is not reserved and I lived in one of the buildings that was against the road so there was only parking on the building side opposite the road. So the other side of the building had to park on our side. You are allowed 2 cars per unit. That’s 16 cars for 10 parking spots. The lot was always overflowing and we were always getting passive aggressive notes in the door saying there were too many cars. That was my only issue. The gym could use some love too. It’s more of a closet. And it’s far away for the Happy Valley units. But overall I loved my time living here.

  Lived here from August 2020 until August 2026. 6 years in an apartment is a huge commitment. And must say Shenandoah came out with flying colors. We moved from West Lafayette to Lafayette, and I think it was the best decision. Both of us were at Purdue so coming to Lafayette for the distance part was something we were not sure, but having lived here for 6 years we don't have enough words to describe how wonderful our experience was. Extremely clean apartment with maintenance showing up as soon as you place a work order. The lawn care is immaculate. Everyone in the office is committed to the job. Shout out to both the office and the maintenance staff. They are there for you no matter what. The apartment upkeep is so good that once you live here, it is genuinely very difficult to adjust anywhere else. And not only that, after we left, we received a personal letter appreciating our time at the apartment. Who goes to that extent to make you feel loved and special ?! Also, they did not deduct a single dollar after the move out inspection. Having lived in other apartments, we know how much of a stressor this one is. Everything is right across the apartment: Target, shopping complexes, eateries. So, location-wise, it's very difficult to beat Shenandoah. If we had not shifted, I would have continued to call it home for years to come.

  Kendra is awesome! Also, all of the staffs are great and friendly and also house looks very neat. Best place.

  Sandi and the ladies in the office were always pleasant with me. The building was the newer apartments and they were beautiful. I was sad to go, but things come up out of my hands. I will miss it dearly and hope whoever moves in after takes as good of care of it as I did. Oh the maintenance is excellent. The maintenance guy came out on a Sunday go fix something, that's unheard of. Thanks for all the good memories.
