New management has recently taken over, and unfortunately, things haven’t improved. The regional manager who oversees this property was the same person answering emergency maintenance calls — and during one of those calls, she became argumentative, raised her voice at me, and continued calling my phone multiple times after I asked her to stop. When I finally raised my voice back (without using profanity or saying anything inappropriate), I was issued a lease violation simply for defending myself.
I’ve lived at this property for roughly 10 years and have never once received a lease violation until now. My rent has always been paid on time, and even the maintenance staff often compliment my apartment for being one of the cleanest in the community. I’ve always taken pride in being a respectful, responsible resident and in keeping my home and surroundings well-maintained — which makes this entire situation even more disappointing.
It’s disappointing to see such abuse of authority and lack of professionalism. Residents here deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, not intimidation or retaliation. Many of us have already been through so much living here, and instead of focusing on improving the community — like keeping the property clean and addressing real issues — management seems more interested in silencing residents who speak up.
I’m leaving this review knowing there’s a real chance I’ll face retaliation again, because that seems to be the culture here. But the truth needs to be said: this property needs leadership that genuinely cares about the residents — the very people who make their jobs possible.
Previous management-If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. I have lived at this property for approximately five years, and during that time, there has been a consistent lack of on-site management and extremely limited maintenance support. The property has gone through a great deal of instability, and it’s surprising it hasn’t been flagged for more serious concerns.
I currently pay $1,200 per month in rent and have never been late on a payment—not once in five years. I take pride in maintaining a clean and orderly home, and in return, I expect basic maintenance issues to be addressed in a timely and professional manner. Unfortunately, that has rarely been the case.
In the past, I’ve had to resort to hanging clothes inside my living room because my dryer wasn’t functioning, and the response from maintenance was extremely delayed—if it came at all. When maintenance does show up, the work is often incomplete or improperly done.
Most recently, I submitted multiple maintenance requests through the tenant portal regarding issues that pose serious safety hazards: a malfunctioning furnace, a clogged dryer vent, and GFCI outlets that are not working properly. These concerns have gone unaddressed for months. I even called emergency maintenance when my furnace began making alarming noises, only to receive a delayed call from the property manager who promised follow-up. No one ever contacted me again.
With the rising cost of rent—sometimes increased more than once a year—it is unacceptable that residents cannot rely on prompt, competent maintenance. The lack of accountability and care for tenant safety is deeply concerning, and the property owners should be held to a higher standard.
