- OBOpal BeautyOct 7, 20263.0Update: Thank you for the reply. Yes, the add-one are always extra. But this mod was 1369 sf, base price was 242k. That's just the house and to me, in the end, the price mark up is too high. I feel Clayton Corporate is being very greedy. This review is more for Clayton Corporate and not the employees. The men were very kind though and that I appreciate. Original: Sadly the 3 stars is for the Clayton corporate pricing, not the employees, who are very kind (thank you!). I wanted to buy a home to put on my parents land. It was a Middlebury about 1369 sf with a basement and it was 292k without the garage. All said and done it would about 375k-and we even own the land. So, this was just too expensive and I've opted not to do it. The markup has to be a whole lot. There are a lot of people to pay and they still want to make a very good profit. I don't know how I will take care of them but Clayton at least made that impossible. :(
