As a resident who just moved out after a few years on the ground lv of the 1803 building I can positively say I had very little good experiences with park west as a whole unless it came to small things like getting clogs/back ups in pipes fixed. Fun fact if you land on the ground floor your kitchen is most likely a common drain for your upstairs neighbors. So multiple times have I had a barely used kitchen backing up all over because the upper floor likes to mix pure grease in their waste water and it wont stop flooding because they wont stop using anything. Second if you end up with 90% of your apartment without power due to a burried conduit in a slab failing and no longer linking the front of the house dont worry...they dont plan on getting it fixed till weeks later or if your like me never so I had my own electrician come out and wire an external connection connecting power back from one side to the other forthe last several months. And third part of what brings me here today is the office/moveout statement and delinquency manager. Initially when I moved in i was told i was required to pay in an official way like a money order so that it had no problems. Fairly standard for places and especially with first time renters. I gave 3 500 money order bonds for deposit and Initial rent. A few days after moving in I was told somehow they ended up losing 1 out of 3 of those orders and they then "graciously" lifted the disbarment from requiring a money order for the remaining 500 and allowed me to pay immediately with card Being extremely lazy and just wanting to be done I did it and went on my way to enjoying my poorly insulated walls allowing me to hear every step a neighbor takes in their morning routine. Bringing me to the latest folly. During the move out you are required 2 whole months of notice on leaving parkwest and I have records that prove I did, a dated envelope and timestamped photo of me dropping the keys into the office Dropbox on the last day of my lease and yet im still being charged a late notice of 300 on my move out statement. Not only that but a 950 charge was also added on for the rent during that month that I didnt pay...which is handled through a third party...flex who the apartmentallows you to go through..who's records show that I paid the entirety of that month. They sent out this email notice in the part middle of the week on Tuesday and gave it a 5 day time limit to respond on my end. Fun fact though, there is only one person I can speak to about this and they dont work on the weekend.....so as someone who works a labor job and generally gets to answering emails and mail on the weekend it was basically from what I found out already too late. I talked to the office during the weekend and still withing the 5 day time frame and they claimed they bumped the info up to her and they would let her know about me trying to get in contact to address the 2 items on the move out bill that make no sense and I can pay the rest and be done with this place. So far after trying to email this one person, call her with the number given to me by the office and leaving various voice mails ive been stone walled with no response so I can only assume she refuses to do anything other than send it off to collections immediately given the time limit and her non response from the email she originally gave to reply in the notification message and the non response to multiple calls and voice mails This seems to be the type of company that just wants to bloodlet you for anything you might be worth while they then tell you they are charging you for watching you bleed
