I leased for 3 years at this poorly managed Apartment complex. In that time-frame it was a revolving door of property managers, maintenance and office staff. All the countertops in the community are what they call "Glazed Aka - painted and upon leaving will charge you $300 to repaint them. Once you place toasters, keurigs, mixers, can openers, etc, they will get scratches from their patchwork cycle of being too cheap ( pass it down to the next tenant) of painted kitchen counters. All my neighbors countertops looked the exact same way, cause well they paint countertops here. Spend some of the money you overcharge in rent and put some real formica countertops that won't have this issue when you place appliances, plates and glassware on them. Be prepared ahead of time , you will be charged for this . Also, my 1970's Roper stove had 4 burners and only the two small one's worked in my 3 years here, in spite of my numerous maintenance requests. When I told Tamara a few months before I left it, it was one of the reasons I'm leaving, she didn't apologize or seem to care. Just nonchalantly asked me to put a post it note on it before I leave it doesn't work. Unbelievable. This apartment complex is trying to charge me after I left for 2 additional water bills from 10/25 - 1/26 The way it was added to my final charges makes it look like I didn't pay for my water 10/25 - 1/26 when I clearly did. I paid a water bill with rent every month I was here( I have proof of it in my payment rent portal) When I called last week, was told, Oh the bill runs two months behind. Where in my lease does it say I need to pay for 2 extra months of a water bill I'm no longer using? This is very scammy of a thing to do, but where does it say it? You will get worn down carpets, cheap blinds that break, old broken roper stove and appliances and painted countertops. You paint walls not countertops. And you will leave paying for those patchworked countertops, you will pay for water you are no longer using and you will pay to clean their old, worn down carpeting. Also, after leaving this property, the incompetence continued. I got a text message a month later from a random number asking me for money for my final bill here and do I want to pay now? I texted back, for what? Said they couldn't see what it was for. I said send me a statement. I figured it was someone trying to scam me for money. That's not the way a professional organization should be asking for money and absolutely no breakdown or anything. I filled out an intent to vacate 2 months before I left here, so I figured if there was a bill, it would have been sent to my fowarding address I left. Was told 5 months later they sent my final bill 30 days after my lease was up to my old apartment address, which is another fabrication since I had my mail fowarded. Fast foward to 5 months later and Lauth Communities did the same thing emailing me, without a bill breakdown and without clearly identifying themselves. I had to call and speak with several people at Lauth Communities before I realized it wasn't a scam, just unprofessional people . Potential renters beware- Lease at company where they actually care about their tenants and when they continually up rent, the inside isn't old, patchworked everything else. This is how this community is managed and you will be nickel and dimed for their patchwork because they are too cheap to do right by their tenants. Bad experience from start to finish. One more thing, there are mice here because well, they don't seal anything to prevent this. Found mice droppings and my Bible I had under my bed had been chewed by a mouse. Lovely place.
