We closed on our home in May 2025 with the help of an excellent salesperson, and despite the challenges of buying in Austin while living out of town, our relocation began positively.
After ten months in the home, we discovered water leaking from the primary bathroom shower. The service process quickly became frustrating, as the plumbing and shower door vendors appeared more focused on avoiding responsibility than resolving the issue. Their arguments and dismissive remarks occurred in front of us and the Pulte warranty representative.
After weeks of disagreement and little direction, I insisted the wall be opened to determine whether there was water damage. A remediation company removed the primary bathroom floor, opened the wall further, and used fans and dehumidifiers to dry the studs.
During the work, the vendors continued arguing and making dismissive comments, leaving us uncomfortable having them in our home. When I asked that a warranty representative attend future sessions because my wife did not feel safe alone with the vendors, I was told this could not be accommodated.
The vendors also treated our home like a construction site. They failed to use shoe coverings, struck walls with tools and equipment, and did not consistently protect floors, carpets, furniture, bed linens, or the fabric headboard despite my requests. We repeatedly had to clean after their visits.
On approximately six occasions, vendors were scheduled and then rescheduled the morning of the appointment, even after we had rearranged personal commitments and doctor visits. This left us feeling that our time was not respected and that Pulte was not effectively managing its vendors.
After more than ten weeks, we were told the project was complete, despite unresolved issues including missing molding, an uneven glass door, and a header rail that had not been cut to fit properly.
The shower door company later stated that the problem resulted from the plumbing company’s installation of the shower walls. Although a representative agreed to replace and cut the header molding, I was told that silicone cleanup would require another appointment.
When I followed up with the warranty manager, I learned she had been transferred and that the project was considered complete. I was told any additional work would require a new warranty request.
A manager later visited but did not address my documented concerns or the cleanup we had to perform. Instead, he compared our shower to the model home and said he would schedule another visit from the shower door company.
This experience has been unacceptable. Our documented concerns went unacknowledged, the project took far too long, and the vendors caused damage and left us with repeated cleanup. My wife and I no longer want Pulte warranty representatives or vendors in our home, and we deeply regret purchasing this home from Pulte.
We will hire a qualified company to complete the project properly and clean up what was left behind. Based on this experience, it appears Pulte’s warranty process prioritizes cost control over customer service.

I have attempted to contact this company for over a month regarding a roof leak. My home is only 4 years old and I have had 4 leaks in the same area. I have left several messages for the warranty line and written several emails. I am highly disappointed and deserve better quality service as I am paying a mortgage monthly.
