  We lived here for a year while we house hunted! I can't say anything bad! From the office to maintenance everyone was so friendly and professional. Any issues were handle promptly and well. Yvonne was so easy to work with, definitely give the Villas a try!

  I wanted to take the time and give a huge shout out to Christina and Von! They are both amazing individuals in the office that are always on top of everything. The upgrades in the units are beautiful, I never hear my neighbors (sound quality is great) and the undergoing updates to the office is exciting and we cannot wait to see what they’re going to do. Kudos to Von and Christina.. you cannot find good people like them, 100% irreplaceable.

  I came here as a single man in 2023, and left in 2026 as a husband and father. Throughout this time, Von and Christine were very nice and helpful, and Earl and his team helped make sure that everything that broke from wear and tear got fixed or replaced. They also have a military clause, so if you have PCS orders, your lease termination fee is waived. The area is pretty nice, there is a gazebo in the middle walk path as well as a pool. Next to the premises is a corn field, but until it's seeded, it's a giant open field. The only reason why we left is because I got my orders, but everything except for old bitter lonely nightmare downstairs neighbors that threaten to call the police because your toddler is a toddler was fine (and again, the front desk was very understanding of our situation, thank you). I can fully recommend living here, though the one downside is that there is no walking out of the premises, it's almost fully car-reliant save for a bus stop. But there's a park 3 minutes drive time away with a playground for kids, as well as a middle school that has a tennis court and outdoor basketball courts. All in all, great place to live, friendly staff, issues get addressed quickly. Thank you for making my -> our stay great!

  Things we disliked, people smoking indoors and in common areas nonstop. There are tenants who smoke weed and cigars indoors. They wouldn’t stop and management didn’t intervene. It’s extremely careless and inconsiderate of others especially when others pay full price for the rent without all discounts they offer to different groups. There are tenants who let their animals defecate from the third floor and when I complained about it, they left animal feces on my balcony. Noise, the third floor tenants don’t know anything about noise ordinances. We could hear them having sex, parties, stomping around etc. The things I liked about these apartments are the layout, the finishes - granite countertops, the tall ceilings, the size of the windows - they let in a lot of light. The rooms are of a good size, the bathrooms are also a good size. Double sinks in the kitchen, a spray hose attached to the faucet, these touches make a difference to me. Management takes care of the tenants and provides access to food trucks and different events for the residents to enjoy. Maintenance takes care of requests in an acceptable time. The grounds were kept well in all seasons, snow removal, painting etc. There are garages available for rent, there's a pool, a gym, and disposal areas for pet waste. There is adequate parking and dumpsters near the buildings. Most of the residents are considerate of others but some aren’t. It was a good community to live in for a short time.

  We have lived at Villas at Crystal Lake since the end of February. It has been such a great experience. Von in the leasing office is so extremely helpful and professional, which in my opinion has made the experience flawless and easy. Not every community you choose to live in, no matter how much you spend in monthly rent, is this way. Von is there to greet you with a smile on her face, is there to answer any and all questions, and is excellent at following up with residents. I cannot speak highly enough about how wonderful it has been to live here. And I highly recommend this property to anyone.
