  I am posting this review because we have had many, many issues with this apartment complex. At 11am, Sunday may 17th 2026, the upstairs unit flooded into our unit in the bedroom area. I contacted the emergency maintenance line for help with the issue. From 11am onward I spent my time using our green machine to suction the flooded water out of our carpet bedroom floors. The flooded water damaged my books and some of my other property. The maintenance crew did not arrive until about an hour later, and did nothing to help initially. Later, they came back to tell us that the water flooding from upstairs was backed up water from THEIR TOILET!! After telling us this, the maintenance crew left without providing any assistance in cleaning the mess up. We have had so many issues with our upstairs neighbor unit, from flooded messes coming from their unit to constant noise late at night. The leasing office does nothing to help, and the maintenance crew does not provide meaningful assistance. We have requested a transfer to another unit, and the leasing office told us that their new policies prevent current residents from changing units. To anyone contemplating moving into these apartments: STAY AWAY!!!

  I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience living here. My room suddenly lost power while the rest of the apartment still had electricity. I immediately contacted the emergency maintenance number and left a message, but didn’t receive a callback for nearly 2 hours. When the maintenance staff finally responded, I was told that having no electricity in my room is not considered an emergency according to their ‘rule book.’ I was basically told to stay without power overnight. When I asked what qualifies as an emergency, the response was ‘fire or flood,’ which was very dismissive and unhelpful. In a situation where basic utilities like electricity are unavailable, this kind of response is unacceptable. Being left without electricity at night is not only inconvenient but also unsafe. The lack of urgency and poor attitude from maintenance made the situation even worse. I would not recommend this apartment due to the lack of proper emergency support and poor tenant care.

  They be straight scamming! Lmaoo better hope you get approved because the way they don’t give you your money back after damn near charging $100 app fee is beyond mind boggling. That’s the most expensive I’ve had to pay on an application. Wild ash. Times is hard enough then you got people out here like this just ready to rip you off. Your policy sucks do better. Should be giving half the refund back! Despicable.

  PLEASE RENTERS BEWARE OF MOVING INTO THE CANDLES let me explain because it starts right in the office when you think you have rented an apartment as advertised for a certain price but when you sign the lease it’s much more money because of service fees they call it this place is so dis honest run don’t walk when it comes to signing a lease at the candles constantly looking for ways to charge tenants extra fees when I first moved into this dishonest apartment complex I rated it 5 stars since my time living here Approximately 8 months this apartment complex deserves 1 star make sure you read these one star reviews because the tenants that wrote these reviews are telling the truth about all the dishonest tactics this apartment complex uses and needs to be exposed and investigated for false advertising because that is exactly what happens in this place like I said run don’t walk when it comes to renting an apartment at the candles constantly looking because you could also regret moving and living here because it’s not as good of place as advertised

  Daylee was amazing and treated me very good I was pleased with the tour and the communication I’d say she deserves a 10 star.
