I rarely write reviews, but after only one week here, my husband and I have already experienced many of the same concerns mentioned in other residents’ reviews, including poor follow-up, poor service, an old building, and serious maintenance issues. We recently moved from another state to Chicago and were under time pressure to find a place quickly. The leasing office listed multiple units as available on Zillow, but when we came to tour, we were told only one unit was available to see. One of the units we were seriously considering was listed as “available now,” but we were not allowed to tour it and were only shown it from outside the building. There was also a discrepancy between the price listed on Zillow and the price later quoted to us. Because we were in a rush, we moved forward anyway. To be fair, the team did help expedite our application process, and I appreciated that at the time. Unfortunately, that positive experience did not last long. From the first day, we had issues in the apartment, including a bathtub drainage problem and extremely poor noise insulation. We had to follow up repeatedly, by email and in person, for several days just to get attention to a basic maintenance issue. Having to chase the leasing office daily for something like this is extremely unprofessional. The noise issue has been even more difficult. When the upstairs neighbor walks, it sounds as if someone is walking inside our unit. I want to be clear that I am not blaming the neighbor. They have the right to live normally in their own home. The problem is the building itself and the lack of any practical solution from management. The noise has been waking us up at night and early in the morning, and it has made daily life very stressful. We raised this issue with the leasing office and were told there would be follow-up by May 4. When May 4 came, no one reached out. I went to the office to ask for an update and to understand why there had been no follow-up. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the conversation became defensive, and I was told to leave the office. I was not trying to be disrespectful. I was simply trying to understand whether this lack of follow-up is normal for all residents or whether our concerns were not being taken seriously. Unfortunately, based on our experience, many of the negative reviews appear to be accurate. The leasing office may be responsive when they want you to sign the lease, but once the contract is signed, the level of care and follow-up changes dramatically. Instead of receiving clear communication and practical solutions, we have felt ignored and passed from one person to another. Overall, this has been a very disappointing and frustrating experience, especially so soon after moving in.

**** Please take note anyone interested in renting here. I am a senior living with disabilities and I have been treated so disrespectfully, inhumanely and unprofessionally by the workers in the rental office that it has triggered my cptsd and set off a cascade of costly painful health challenges that no one should have to experience. Be forewarned that they simply and vehemently Do Not Care about anyone but their own greedy, self righteous selves and they are so far removed from the experience of real working people that they have zero compassion or respect. They will smile to your face and stab you in the back simultaneously and repeatedly with no conscience at all. Somehow these young women have lost or forgotten their humanity and I have been the one to educate and remind them. I am not being fairly compensated to provide the essential reeducation services that they are in need of.

I’ve lived in a lot of places, but this has easily been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a property manager and leasing office. First off, the professionalism here is basically nonexistent. The property managers are beyond rude—condescending, dismissive, and honestly just flat-out disrespectful. Any time I’ve tried to bring up a concern, I’ve been talked over, ignored, or made to feel like I’m the problem for expecting basic living standards. The leasing office staff follows the same pattern—unhelpful, unorganized, and clearly not interested in doing their jobs properly. What makes it even worse is the way certain tenants are treated. It’s very noticeable that Black and brown residents are spoken to differently—more aggressively, less respectfully, and with a tone that feels discriminatory. It creates an uncomfortable and unfair living environment, and it’s something that absolutely needs to be addressed. The building itself is just as bad. The front and side doors are constantly unlocked, which is a huge safety issue. Anyone can walk in at any time, and it doesn’t feel secure at all. On top of that, people are always smoking inside the building—hallways, stairwells, even near entrances. The smell lingers and management does nothing about it despite repeated complaints. There’s also constant noise—yelling, arguing, and disturbances at all hours. It doesn’t matter if it’s early morning or late at night, there’s always something going on, and again, management doesn’t step in or enforce any kind of rules to maintain peace. The neighborhood itself is pretty mixed, which could be a positive, but the way management handles things completely ruins any sense of community. Instead of fostering a respectful environment, they contribute to the tension with their behavior and lack of accountability. Overall, this place feels neglected, poorly managed, and unfairly run. Between the rude staff, safety concerns, constant noise, and lack of respect for tenants, I would not recommend living here to anyone. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Alright friends, grab a coffee— because this one is gonna be a long one. All the positive reviews are from them offering pizza or treats for reviews so keep that in mind. First, credit where it’s due: maintenance and the clubhouse staff have been wonderful. Responsive, professional, and genuinely kind. This review is specifically about the front leasing office and communication. Back in January, I discussed this exact February weekend with the office ahead of time, including my vehicle situation. At move-in, I requested that my registered vehicle be switched from my GMC to my Tesla and was told it would be handled. I trusted that it had been updated. Fast forward to Monday, February 16th. I returned from New Jersey at 10:30 p.m. (after office hours — they operate 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and are closed on weekends). By the next morning… my car had been towed. When I reached out, I was informed that only the GMC was on file and the Tesla had never been updated in the system. The follow-up response was essentially “policy is policy.” I fully understand that policies must be enforced. What’s frustrating is that this situation stemmed from an update I had already requested and discussed in advance. Had I known it wasn’t processed, I would have secured the permanent pass immediately and avoided the entire situation. Instead, I relied on the guidance provided. A couple additional notes for prospective residents: • You’re given 10 days to report move-in concerns, but within the first 30 days I noticed paint peeling and cracks forming. • At move-in, a photocopy of my Social Security card was requested — something I’ve never encountered at previous apartments. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I would strongly advise future residents to double-confirm all updates in writing and verify they are reflected in the system as I had but again to no avail. I would have given one star based on this experience alone — but maintenance and the clubhouse staff genuinely earn the extra star. Policies matter but so does follow-through.

TLDR: Good location but nothing else is worth the price. Look elsewhere. I lived here for just over three years with my husband and we wanted to like this apartment more than we did. The location is good but the day-to-day living experience doesn’t match the price or the “upscale” image that’s advertised. Rent increased regularly, yet nothing improved in terms of amenities or maintenance when we lived there from 2022 to 2025. Communication from management is poor. The office often sends out mass emails about events that have already happened, which buries important messages in your inbox. Calls to the leasing office frequently go straight to voicemail, even during normal business hours. The only office staff we consistently found helpful was Samira. Another frustration we had was HVAC system schedule for heating and cooling. You are forced to choose one or to shut it off. During months like April and October, when temperatures swing wildly, this is incredibly inconvenient to have the heat on when it is 70+ degrees outside. Maintenance issues piled up as well. The parking lot had poor drainage, and some areas flooded when it rained. The laundry room in the basement of building 702 was unreliable. One washer was almost always broken and to make matters worse, dryer prices were increased with no noticeable improvement in the machines. The hallways are visibly run down, which clashes with the polished exterior and makes the “luxury living” feel more like a facade. The exhaust fan in the bathroom barely worked and we eventually got mold. The maintenance recommendation was to wipe it off. The gym and clubhouse hours were another pain point. They were unpredictable and often changed, making it hard to plan workouts or use shared spaces consistently. This issue worsened when they started the clubhouse remodel mid-2025. We lost access to the gym with no alternatives offered for months. That said, the location is the biggest redeeming quality. The apartment is within walking distance of great restaurants, grocery stores, and forest preserves, and it’s conveniently close to major highways. Overall, you’re paying a premium for the location, but the management, maintenance, and amenities don’t justify the steadily rising rent.
