  Resided at 444 April 2025-April 2026 First the positives – Nice campus and amenities. There you go. That’s it. You can find the same at numerous facilities in the area. Now, the important truth. The WORST management of a complex I’ve ever experienced. Over time I’ve lived at 6 different managed rental places. 444 Social was BY FAR the worst. From the start, moving in they slapped a sign on my vehicle for parking near my unit as I was unloading. No warning. It was a spot near a handicapped spot – NOT a handicapped spot – near one. (Saw another vehicle in the same spot – no sticker – not towed.) Took an hour to remove that sticker. Nice welcome. Next a non-stop barrage of text messages reminding me to get a pet vaccination document. No problem. Though, I’m just trying to move in. I’m trying to find how to get that. From day one. Almost Everyday. A text message notification. Then, the noise police. Keep in mind, this is an apartment complex – dogs barking, kids running yelling, even piano playing. These are NOT single family homes. I do volunteer work providing music for person’s with disabilities. Practicing on quiet RUBBER pads. Rubber. Pads. Someone complained. There were dogs barking more loudly and kids yelling more loudly. I gave out letters explaining what I do and that I’d gladly practice when it was convenient for them, even though I was already doing so outside “quite hours”. One person said, “no worries at all”, another didn’t reply. The complex didn’t bother helping work things out and took the side of the person not wanting to neighborly work together. I had to stop volunteering. During Halloween many of us put up decorations. Never heard a thing. Winter holidays arrived and I put up a small holiday decoration. NON STOP condemnations came from the management. Then there was an issue with bugs, big bugs. Not just in the warm season, but crawling around through the winter. This complex management team hasn’t a clue how to treat their clients. No respect. Consideration is non-existent. No idea how to work with people. Without a doubt, you can easily find a place with amenities just as good with management who know how to treat their clients properly. Mehmood was the one exception among the building administrative staff. He was regularly considerate and thoughtful whenever I dealt with him. The others working at 444 Social would do well to learn from him.

  This apartment complex is modern decline manifest. Truly the cheapest built "luxury" apartments around. I lived here a year and in that time my laminate floor peeled up in several places in the apartment, you could hear every conversation your neighbours had and what channel they watched on TV, and without exaggeration every month the complex's water had to be shut off for either a full day or several days in a week because they screwed up massively when building this complex and have been trying to fix it ever since to no avail. I also have heard of pest control problems if you live on the first floor. I've seen fixtures (like your shower head) being held up by cardboard, all the appliances are the cheapest whirlpool brand, and there is no overhead lighting at all in your apartment other than one set of lights in the kitchen area. Even with three floor lamps the apartment felt very dark as you don't get much natural light from the one sliding glass door. Also be prepared for the landlord special plastic slat blinds that will break if you ever try to open or close them on your *one* source of outside light in the apartment. Expect at least a 1200/year increase in rent every time you re-up your lease as well. What this place does do right are the shared amenities, the gym, pool, mail room, and lounge areas are very nice. No majour complaints about the staff either, the only thing they ran me around on was getting a referral bonus where I had pester them about several times until they gave it to me. ( the person who I referred also moved out because of the things above ) If you're still thinking of renting here, do not get a north facing apartment to the parking lot and abandoned movie theater, you'll hear a lot of car noise from people doing burnouts in the empty lot and the somewhat busy aptakisic road, and very busy Milwaukee. I also would not recommend you get a balcony with a pool view as I've heard from other renters that the sounds carry from the patio to your apartment rather easily. To be quite frank, you can make your money go a lot farther for somewhere nicer than here in the same general area.

  I have lived here since May, and have to say that if you own a dog, this is one of the best communities you could hope for! Great staff, very attentive to maintenance issues (which there have been very few). They have a fenced in area on top of the parking structure called the "Woof Top" where dogs can run around and play together. (If it were not for that, I might never have known how fast my dog is! ) Anyway it is a very clean and upscale community with great amenities and energy, close to a lot of good restaurants... I highly recommend (and my dog does too). : )
