- TATrent “Trentybaby” AllynMay 25, 20231.0In my opinion, the Hinsdale apartments are the slums of one of the wealthiest communities in America. The management is horrific, the problems are constant and the rent is way too high for the space, lack of features and structural issues. I literally had the sole bathtub of a two person unit fill up with sewage waste and this prolonged episode required reaching out to the city building inspector to resolve over a week and having to go to a hotel that I was initially denied compensation over to cover those costs! They would not reduce rent for that month-or offer any real conciliatory financial gesture for the pain and misery this caused me and my roommate-as a full time worker and full time college student and just a tenant. The corporate management does not care about tenants in my view. The sinks were frequently clogged, heat went out regularly in the winter months and the kitchen floor and my bedroom were built in a slanted way due to an improperly level foundation. I would prefer the streets to living in these units. An insane rental price for a very small amount of space, and no dishwasher or inline washer and dryers. The amount of stress probably took a year or two off of my life having to deal with this apartment and it is one of my biggest regrets.
