  I’m not someone who normally writes reviews, but I genuinely feel obligated to warn potential tenants about the smoke and mirrors behind this so-called “luxury” building. We wanted to love living at The Nest Lincoln Park because the location, views, amenities, and apartment itself are genuinely great. Unfortunately, management completely ruined the experience. The building advertises responsive management and on-site maintenance that supposedly makes residents “feel at home.” In reality, urgent maintenance issues were ignored for weeks or months at a time. The worst example was a broken window that remained unrepaired for FIVE MONTHS during a Chicago winter, including weeks of below-zero temperatures. We had to repeatedly follow up just to get it temporarily taped shut, purchase our own heater, and still pay the mandatory $150 heating/air fee despite not being able to properly heat the apartment. Communication from management was consistently terrible. Emails and maintenance requests often went unanswered, yet when lease renewal season came around, they had no issue repeatedly emailing us to renew. The moment we politely questioned a significant rent increase, we immediately received notice that our lease would not be renewed. What’s most frustrating is the disconnect between how this building markets itself and how tenants are actually treated. They present themselves as caring and resident-focused, but when we expressed frustration over serious unresolved issues, we were essentially told it was “not our fault.” I would also encourage people to read the glowing reviews carefully, as many appear to come from employees or individuals connected to the company, which makes the ratings feel misleading. It’s disappointing because this property has so much potential. The views and location are incredible. But management’s lack of accountability and disregard for tenants made living here far more stressful than it should have been.

  5 Stars – Beautiful Renovation, Incredible Location, and Top-Tier Amenities I’ve had the pleasure of working with the team behind The Nest at 2140, and I can confidently say they’ve done an outstanding job transforming this property. The recent renovations have truly elevated the building – it feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed from top to bottom. The location is unbeatable, right across from Lincoln Park Zoo and just steps from the lakefront. Whether you're looking for green space, dining, or city convenience, everything is within walking distance. The amenities are also a standout feature – from the upgraded common areas to the fitness center and resident lounges, it’s clear that attention to detail and resident comfort were top priorities. This project is a testament to what’s possible when a committed, quality-driven team is behind a vision. Highly recommend The Nest at 2140 to anyone looking for a premium living experience in one of Chicago’s best neighborhoods.
