PLEASE READ BEFORE LEASING!! Do not let the five-star reviews or polished leasing presentation convince you that this building is well managed or worth living in. My experience at Flair Tower was a nightmare.
The biggest issue is management’s complete lack of communication. They portray themselves as attentive and resident-focused when you are touring, but once you actually live here, getting a response is impossible. I cannot count how many emails I sent that were simply ignored. Even when you go to the office in person, you are told someone will “follow up,” and then nothing happens. No answers, no solutions, no accountability.
The most serious example was when my car was STOLEN from the building’s parking garage, which I was paying approximately $275/month to use. There are no cameras in the garage. I contacted management with serious security concerns and received absolutely no response or follow-up. The garage is public and connects directly to the residential building. On multiple occasions, I personally saw doors leading from the garage into the residential portion left open and unsecured, making access to residential floors disturbingly easy.
The security issues did not stop there. While we were out of the country, maintenance entered our apartment to install something in the kitchen and left our apartment door OPEN afterward. We have no idea how long our home was left completely unsecured. Management said they “couldn’t believe that happened,” would speak with maintenance, and would follow up. Guess what? They never did.
That perfectly sums up management here. Something serious happens, they act shocked, promise to look into it, and then you never hear from them again.
Maintenance was another constant battle. We had issues with gas leaking from our oven and were told they would not replace it. They would check the knobs and say it was fine. Our dishwasher leaked on multiple occasions and was never replaced either. When our washer/dryer broke and made an unbearable noise every time we turned it on, we had to repeatedly chase maintenance just to get the issue addressed. Eventually they had “no other choice” but to replace it. I am not blaming the maintenance personnel themselves ... again this is the building's management that was not allowing them to change out these appliances. It should not take that level of persistence to get basic appliances repaired or replaced, especially when there are safety concerns involved.
The surrounding area also became a major concern. One Saturday night, while sitting on our balcony, we watched someone get shot on our corner and bleed out below us. During the time I lived here, I can recall at least 10 shooting incidents within roughly one to two blocks of the building. Obviously management cannot control neighborhood crime, but that makes secure entrances, cameras, and proper building security even more important.
I also dealt with inexplicably high heating bills, including periods when my heat was barely on, yet my bills were significantly higher than neighbors’. Again, getting any real explanation or resolution was nearly impossible.
Flair Tower markets itself as luxury, but luxury is more than a nice lobby, amenities, and finishes. Residents should also be able to expect security, functioning appliances, accountability, communication, and management that responds when something goes wrong.
The one genuinely positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff, especially Sam and Derek, are wonderful. They are kind, helpful, professional, and genuinely care about residents. They are honestly one of the only reasons some residents stay as long as they do. Unfortunately, even great front desk staff cannot make up for poor management, serious security concerns, constant maintenance issues, and a complete lack of communication.
I am extremely relieved to have moved out and would never recommend Flair Tower to friends or family.
