  Lived here for a year and a half. There was always at least one elevator out of service the entire time I lived here. Takes months to fix only for it to break again within a week. Our carpet upon move had so many patches of crust and the carpet itself is old and scratchy. Appliances are also old and in need of an update. Management is the reason this building is so bad. While I lived there they decided to renovate the hallways on every floor. One day I woke up and found my door wide open, as they were repainting the thresholds that day. We had no heads up or warning this would be occurring which is obviously wrong. And then when I complained they said the door must remain open for 24 hours until the paint dries. Not to mention after that, for days afterwards white dust would blow in from the hallway underneath my door and coat everything in my apartment, probably chipped paint or caulk or who knows what. Again, no heads up or precautions taken to prevent this. The building controls when to switch from cooling to heating and they always wait until the last day possible to do so. There will be stretches of weeks in the spring and the fall where it is over 80 degrees in the unit but they refuse to switch to cooling. Also, yes, there will be ambulance sirens CONSTANTLY, at all hours of the day. We were told we'd get used to it. We did not. The weather stripping on my sliding glass doors was old and worn so I had them update it which helped with the noise a bit, so try that if it's driving you crazy. But it is ridiculously loud and honestly borderline uninhabitable as a result. Laundry room also has the majority of its machines out of service. Multiple times we'd retrieve our clothes and there would be black streaks on them, totally ruined our white bedsheets. Tenants will also have their dogs pee right in front of the revolving door so you're always walking through puddles of pee when entering or exiting the building. Front desk staff and maintenance are the best. Dante and Ewan deserve a raise.

  ABOUT: Asbury Plaza is proudly managed by The Habitat Company—though “managed” might be a generous term. This building feels like the forgotten middle child they only remember when it’s time to send out rent reminders. I fully expect the standard corporate reply about “unexpected maintenance” and “occasional outages,” but trust me: nothing here is unexpected, and the outages are about as occasional as sunrise. ELEVATORS: Ah yes, “Car 1.” I, too, have enjoyed its signature free-fall experience in this elevator. It’s that delightful rollercoaster drop—minus the amusement park, the safety bar, or the fun. Just you, gravity, and a quick mental recap of your life choices. Really adds to the charm. LAUNDRY ROOM (photos taken 12/07/25): If you’ve ever wanted a behind-the-scenes tour of what a neglected laundry room looks like, congratulations—photos included. Please enjoy counting how many machines are “Out of Order.” Management assured us back on September 17th that they were “aware of the ongoing issues” and “remain committed to restoring reliable service.” Here we are months later, and the laundry room is still.....not restored.” BLUE WATER: Yes, that’s blue water coming out of my bathroom faucet. No filter. No special effects. Just Asbury Plaza adding a little Smurf-themed surprise to my daily routine. SMOKING: If you love the smell of a cannabis shop blended with a cigar lounge, you’re in for a treat. The aroma gracefully wafts through hallways and elevators like it pays rent. OVERALL SCORE: 0.0000000 out of 5. Honestly shocked this place hasn’t been declared a historical site for “Most Excuses Ever Generated.”

  One of the worse and disrespectful staffs, I lived here for 3 years. the bathroom ceilings were molded, elevators stopped working at times. Just overall bas experience

  This is a great place to live for anyone looking to have great city views, friendly staff, and great value. The staff are exceptionally helpful and treat people like people, and not just tenants. They go above and beyond to keep everyone comfortable and happy! Balcony windows are thick keeping the apartments well insulated. I thought only three elevators would be an issue, but they are quick and I always get to my unit quickly. Overall, very happy with this building and would recommend it to anyone looking to move in here. 10/10
