  Nuestra experiencia con Asbury Plaza ha sido muy buena desde el primer momento. El edificio es muy bonito pero el apartamento nos encantó, muy bien cuidado, amplio y con mucha luz natural, pero lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue la atención de Palmira, la Resident Manager. Acabamos de mudarnos a Chicago y todo el proceso de buscar piso era completamente nuevo para nosotros. Palmira nos ayudó en todo momento con muchísima amabilidad, paciencia y profesionalidad. Siempre estuvo disponible para resolver nuestras dudas, explicarnos cada paso del proceso y hacernos sentir tranquilos en una decisión tan importante. Gracias a ella, todo fue mucho más fácil y nos sentimos muy bien acompañados. ¡Muchas gracias, Palmira, por toda tu ayuda!

  Asbury plaza is beautiful I had the pleasure of having Sade help me through my process of moving in she is very nice and answered any questions I had with no hesitation you want be disappointed everything is walking distance so you don’t have worry about moving your vehicle if you don’t need to

  SOLICITORS IN BUILDING!!! Broken elevators, roaches, smokers… Please be cautious on who you open your door to now. I had an electric rep come to my door saying my electric was outdated and no longer used in the building. He says he comes in quarterly to check on people. Never heard or seen that. He also had another rep call to confirm that he was allowed in the building which I had no idea why or how he was let in. I am going to be saving money but I need to reread the papers, because he clicked a bunch of buttons for me. I should've been more stubborn & shut my door but it was all really confusing and slick. I’ve also been living here for 4.5 years and I haven’t moved because it’s pretty affordable compared to most, more expensive to move and the location is excellent since I don’t have a car. However, there’s roaches on the first floor and laundry room and stair wells. Just groups of dead roaches in the stair wells the closer you get to the main floor. How I know from living on the 13th? Last year all the elevators were broken and we were told to take the stairs several time. I once got stuck in an elevator in 2024 and had to call 911 to get me out and what made it more stressful was the girl working the front desk at the time (she got fired) gave mad attitude and wouldn’t answer the phone because she was hiding in the mail room on her phone. They’re constantly broken and slow. Super unreliable. HUGE smoking problem since I moved here. They have seemed to stop but management doesn’t take it seriously. For 3.5 years, I’ve had trash, food, ciggs and hot ash all dumped on my balcony. The hot ash was right in front of my face enjoying myself sitting in my chair. They send emails about consequences but they do nothing, so they kept doing it. They only stopped because the main door security guy went up and said to cut that shit out. I also may have gone up myself and lost my mind on them because after 3.5 years of the building gaslighting me and playing in my face when you take good care of your place inside and out, treat the building with respect and pay good money for you spot - I’m only human. The elevators will also reek of ciggs and weed and body odor. Maintenance are nice people! They used to have a younger guy on the weekends who had an attitude and was lazy. He’s gone. He gave me and fire chief attitude because the fire alarms were constantly go off and I was the only one who did something about it. However, everyone is friendly, helpful and hard working. I’m always very appreciative to them. Always a bunch of wasps by the pool. It can be really aggravating and stressful living here but it would be even more if I had to pay for moving, search for a new place accessible for those without a car and needing CTA options and walkable neighborhood. Plus, I got a pretty big spot and besides maintenance, the door people are really nice, too.

  I recently moved into Asbury Plaze and the whole experience from beginning until I was handed my keys was absolutely amazing! The apartments are very budget friendly while still being clean and well maintained. The staff is amazing — everyone is professional, friendly, and always willing to help. Any maintenance requests or concerns are handled quickly, which really makes a difference. The facilities are kept clean, and the overall environment feels comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable place to live. Special shout out to Ms. Humphrey, who made sure she was there and available during the entire application process making it the whole experience seamless. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  Lived here for a year and a half. There was always at least one elevator out of service the entire time I lived here. Takes months to fix only for it to break again within a week. Our carpet upon move had so many patches of crust and the carpet itself is old and scratchy. Appliances are also old and in need of an update. Management is the reason this building is so bad. While I lived there they decided to renovate the hallways on every floor. One day I woke up and found my door wide open, as they were repainting the thresholds that day. We had no heads up or warning this would be occurring which is obviously wrong. And then when I complained they said the door must remain open for 24 hours until the paint dries. Not to mention after that, for days afterwards white dust would blow in from the hallway underneath my door and coat everything in my apartment, probably chipped paint or caulk or who knows what. Again, no heads up or precautions taken to prevent this. The building controls when to switch from cooling to heating and they always wait until the last day possible to do so. There will be stretches of weeks in the spring and the fall where it is over 80 degrees in the unit but they refuse to switch to cooling. Also, yes, there will be ambulance sirens CONSTANTLY, at all hours of the day. We were told we'd get used to it. We did not. The weather stripping on my sliding glass doors was old and worn so I had them update it which helped with the noise a bit, so try that if it's driving you crazy. But it is ridiculously loud and honestly borderline uninhabitable as a result. Laundry room also has the majority of its machines out of service. Multiple times we'd retrieve our clothes and there would be black streaks on them, totally ruined our white bedsheets. Tenants will also have their dogs pee right in front of the revolving door so you're always walking through puddles of pee when entering or exiting the building. Front desk staff and maintenance are the best. Dante and Ewan deserve a raise.
