My family and I are incredibly grateful for the service that was provided by Delilah. We are a military family, and we were looking for a peaceful place to call home throughout our stressful lives. We stumbled upon an obstacle throughout our apartment application process, and we were afraid we wouldn’t have a place to live when we relocated to the Chicago area. Delilah remained patient and supportive of our situation until it was cleared up, and she greatly reduced our stress by ensuring that we’d have a place to stay in Illinois. Aside from the beautiful, spacious apartments, the area is beautiful, and all our needs are in close proximity such as grocery stores, shopping centers, etc.. Thank you so much to the Stonebridge office team for being incredibly hands-on with our moving process and always answering the phone. (Thank you, again, we tremendously appreciate you, Delilah!!) ❤️
I have lived here for a little over a month now, and yep, I regret my decision. I had lovely experiences throughout the signing process, I really enjoy the like 3 total workers I’ve interacted with so far, and I haven’t had someone steal a package yet. So there’s that.
But….the biggest issue so far has been with the washer that came with my apartment. It was filled with mold when I moved in, and despite contacting maintenance multiple times, management has not replaced it. It smells SO BAD. So much so, the first time I ran it the entire apartment, and in the hallway leading to my apartment, smelt of mildew 🤢. No matter how much I try nothing will get rid of the horrible smell. Their proposed solution is to replace the rubber piece on the door because visibly it looks only kinda moldy.
To top it all off, I’m dealing with a kidney infection, and NOW a skin infection that requires to me to regularly wash clean bedding, towels, and clothing. There was a point I was also unable to walk, and couldn’t leave my home, having a sanitary, mold free washer isn’t a luxury when it is in your lease agreement.
Next !
The cleanliness issues extend beyond just my unit. There is dog urine in the elevators constantly. Dogs bark throughout the halls, and it is very clear that some residents do not properly care for or control their animals. The complaints in other reviews about off-leash dogs are also true. The other day I was taking my dog outside when a loose dog approached us with no owner in sight. I was immediately concerned, but another resident explained that it lives here. I have seen the same little gray dog wandering around loose on multiple occasions, approaching and bothering other residents and their dogs. You can visibly tell that some neighbors, especially those trying to responsibly manage reactive or aggressive dogs, are uncomfortable with it, and I genuinely feel bad for them.
The cleanliness of the common areas is also disappointing. Last week, what looked to be some sort of mysterious pasta was spilled down the stairwell, to make matters worse, the kids had jammed their hallway door open. So each time you went in and out, you had to dodge a pasta obstacle course. It was hours before this was cleaned
I can’t definitively say where I contracted my infection, but seeing the overall sanitation issues here while simultaneously being unable to leave my home and properly wash my own clothes and bedding certainly does not make me feel comfortable.
And Lastly !
The complaints about kids running and screaming all around the property are also true. And yes, they do try to sell you things, had it happen to me just the other day. I knew there would be kids, and I actually don’t mind most of the time, they can just be a bit out of control at times…
I really wanted to like living here. The apartment itself has potential and the employees I’ve personally interacted with have actually been pleasant, which makes the lack of basic upkeep and enforcement even more frustrating.
