  Im not one to usually leave a bad review but I feel like this is important for new tenants to know and also for management to reflect and hopefully learn from. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with management during our move-out process. Throughout the move-out process, I had to reach out multiple times to find out what was required of us. We were given a move-out checklist, but there was not much communication regarding the specific process for returning keys or that failing to return all keys on the exact move-out date would result in additional rent charges. We did accidentally overlook returning one set of keys. We returned my husband’s keys on time but mistakenly kept my set. After our move-out date, management reached out asking when we would be able to return the remaining keys. I responded and explained that we still had one set and would bring them in on Monday when the office was open. They responded that this was fine and did not mention that we would be charged rent or any daily fee until the keys were returned. When we brought the keys in on Monday, we were simply thanked for returning them. We were therefore very surprised when we later received a bill charging us additional rent because the keys had not been returned on the original move-out date. We understand that ultimately it was our responsibility to return the keys, and we take accountability for overlooking that. However, we felt the situation could have been handled much better, especially since we communicated with management directly about the remaining keys and were never informed that we would incur additional charges. When we reached out to explain the misunderstanding, we hoped management would be willing to work with us or at least acknowledge the lack of communication. Unfortunately, we did not feel that there was much effort to do so. The experience left us feeling like the priority was collecting the additional money rather than working with residents to resolve a genuine misunderstanding. We had hoped to leave on a positive note, but unfortunately our move-out experience left us disappointed. I would encourage management to be more proactive and transparent about move-out requirements and potential fees, especially when communicating directly with residents during the move-out process.and to realize that we are all humans and accidents happen and 3 days of turning in our keys late should come with some sort of communication ahead of time.

  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily Meyers at Dovetail Apartments! From the moment you meet her, you can tell that she genuinely cares about the people she helps. She is so friendly, kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. Emily always goes above and beyond to make sure questions are answered and that people feel welcomed, heard, and taken care of. Her positive attitude and warm personality make such a difference. You don’t always come across someone who truly loves helping others, but Emily is definitely one of those people! Dovetail Apartments is very lucky to have someone like Emily representing them. She is an absolute asset and deserves to be recognized for the amazing person she is. If you ever have the opportunity to work with Emily, you will understand exactly what I mean. ❤️ Thank you, Emily, for always being so kind, helpful, and wonderful! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  When my son was accepted to grad school and had five days to find a place to live, I scoured the area. I finally landed at the dovetail and Emily. She guided me through the process and even was very patient with me when I called her multiple times a day.😆 It was a smooth transition when he arrived and he loves the apartment.

  Lived here for over a year now, unfortunately. (Picked this place since u had a friend who lived here back when it was Jasper, but turns out it has changed a lot and is no longer a nice place to live). The front office is never there, when they are, they aren’t responding to emails or answering phone calls. If you have any issues you will need to reach out via email, text and in person before getting a response. (They won’t fix the issue but they say they will)… then you’ll have to reach out about 5 more times to get the issue resolved. Then it will happen again the next month. They say they don’t let dogs at the pool, then do nothing about it when dogs are there. It’s like living in a hotel, I can hear when my upstairs neighbor does ANYTHING. Including flush the toilet, shower, walk around, sit, vacuum, and simply exist. We have a neighbor that has a VERY annoying BELL wind chime that rings all day long on their porch. So we can’t sit on our porch in peace and quiet. (No, management doesn’t care). There was a shooting right infront of our apartment, with blood going into the complex. (So obviously a sketchy unsafe area.) Packages are always lost and missing so good luck there. The owner will respond to my review saying they take feedback very seriously and then nothing will change. Save yourself the hassle and go to any other complex in the area, you will have a better experience.
