Such a bad experience tried to get a showing they didn’t want to work with my schedule. Very upsetting I really was interested in home but I couldn’t help me in any shape or form in showing me. And they took forever to respond to my message or voicemail I spend all week trying to call them until this week they finally answered really unprofessional. Not worth it

I rented a townhouse through them. Aside from extremely poor communication, the place not being properly cleaned and a large pile of the previous tenants garbage in the driveway when I moved in 2 and half weeks ago, I found out that the freezer wasn't working. With the freezer not working I'm apprehensive buying groceries for the fridge. The repair guy has been out twice to try and limp it along but it still isn't working. He tells me it needs to be replaced. I called DJW this morning and was told they legally don't need to fix it as its an amenity. When double checking the lease paperwork I found out they have me in a 13 month lease instead of the 12 month lease I agreed to.
Unless you really love the property for some reason, I would pass on renting through them. If you're on the fence, read the owners responses to negative reviews and decide if that's the type of person you want to support.

Do not rent from DJW. They will falsely charge you when you tell them there is an issue and that maintenance technician did not find one at the time. You can see that they are using this portion in their lease to keep our money. This portion states that the tenant is responsible if we are the ones that did the damages. As you can see, they did not say in that email that we did any damage (because we did not). Just that they didn’t find anything wrong with it at that time. I have emails of still reporting dryer issues as well. When I told them that clause in the lease still does not justify why we were charged, they sent that email in the 2nd photo. They also do not send you a true itemized bill when you move out and claim it’s ‘Action Maintenance’ way of how they itemize a bill. They also would not provide a number for the company, considering Denny is also the owner of this maintenance company as well as DJW. They are very sketchy and don’t even follow their own lease agreement. I’ve also attached photos of their “itemized bill”
