Dont rent here, its gross, and nothing gets fixed. Lived here for 2 months. I cant even write every issue because its above the character limit
General cleanliness was bad on move in. Carpets had been washed. That seemed to be the only thing done. The rest of the place looked untouched by cleaning people. We had to do a thorough deep clean of the entire unit ourselves.
Baseboards, floors, laundry room, closet racks all covered in gunk and dust that took hours to fully clean
The balcony wasnt cleaned at all. Evrrything needed deep scrubbing
All the move in maintenance issues that will fit in the review:
Dishwasher was broken and had standing water. Filthy and covered in gunk. Had to thoroughly scrub the inside, and the filter
Vents were filthy, each one covered in dust, both duct and on the covers. Furnace filter wasnt changed
3 different doors had the wrong screws in the hinges and could be pushed open
2 sink leaks causing cabinet mold
Dryer wasnt hooked up to the exhaust, so every time i ran it, entire bathroom and connecting laundry room humid and smelly. Condensation on everything as if youd showered without the vent.
Dryer lint filter not cleaned. There was a fire hazard amount of lint deep inside.
Then, the biggest problem since living here, the washing machine. When we moved in, it was moldy and had black gunk all over the silicone ring. When we washed anything, it would come out covered in black gunk, even after running washer cleaner. And after a few days, it broke. It started displaying error codes that indicated the temperature gague needed replaced.
Maintenence takes at least a week to respond for any issue. All of the issues i just listed took weeks to get all completed. I called the leasing office every day for 3 weeks straight about the washing machine, and was shrugged off every time. I was also told over a month ago, that they would be replacing the entire washer unit because mines had so many issues. Still no updates. When maintenance finally came to look at it after weeks of me calling, the guy sat on his phone while it ran. He then told me it ran fine and left. He wasnt using a cycle setting that you would actually use with clothes, and he was running it on empty. A few weeks later the same guy replaced the temperature gague, after i showed him the issue myself. And 3 days later, the same issue started again, and to this day hasnt been fixed.
Ive finally, after 2 months of this, been given keys to an empty apartment on the same floor so i can use that washer and dryer. And even that one has issues. Neither the washer or dryer in this other one will use cold water or low temp heat. My sheets need cold water and low heat, or theyll shrink, and when i opened the washer on a tap cold cycle, it was hot. Same with the dryer. So now my sheets dont fit the bed correctly. What am i paying in unit laundry prices for if i dont even get that. I feel like i should get reimbursed for the 2 months that i havent gotten a main ammenity that im paying a higher price for
Maintenance flipped a vent upside down instead of cleaning it when I wasnt there
When they came over when i was actually there, there were 2 guys. One was a younger guy that tried to just screw the wrong toilet lever on tighter instead of replacing it, and tried to wash my vent in the kitchen sink instead of taking it to the office sink. The older guy then told me that this younger guy has been half assing pre move in inspections and cleanings, and is lucky he doesnt get fired. I suspect this is the same guy that flipped my vent
Hallways smell absolutely disgusting. Constant smell of wet dog, dog pee, and food. Carpets are stained. People just throw their trash in the stairwell, theres always banana peels or random bags thrown around.
Valet trash service just decides to skip random days. And when they do come, they only get the one bag that can actually fit in the provided hallway bins. If i have an extra bag, i have to balance it on top of the first one or they wont get it.
Theres so much more, but it wont fit here.
