  CONS: Everything is constantly broken. Right now it’s the door to the back of the apartment complex and the treadmill. The gym here sucks, people have stolen weights, the treadmills are always have issues and there only 2 of them. It takes months for anything to be fixed. There was a storm about a month ago, and there is still pieces of the building lying on the ground. It takes weeks for any repair request to be addressed. I can’t even use my garage space that I pay for because I constantly have issues getting into the parking garage regardless of switching fobs etc. And I’m contracted into it unfortunately. The tenants here litter and leave garbage everywhere. They will seriously throw entire fast food bags of garbage in the middle of the parking lot. Upstairs neighbors are very loud and noisy. PROS: Our apartment is very nice in the management does respond very quickly to emails, I feel like management tries their best but there’s a new manager every few months so there must be something broken with the indigo system as to why they don’t stay.

  cons: 1) absurd lease termination fee equal to two months rent, and other hidden fees like a "New Lease Fee" of $385 and all kinds of other admin fees. Never had a landlord that charged such a large termination fee. Most understand that real life does not match a lease schedule and allow you to find another tenant early to take over lease so they don't lose rent. not here. 2) as others have posted here, absurdly unresponsive. No one ever answers the phone and the only email address is a general one. Although to be fair, they did call back promptly AFTER move out. And there are time-senstive issues, like utils/fobs/move-in-out questions etc 3) unlike some these reviews, not a bargain, lots of other places live around there and further out at competitive rent and actually much lower. Unfortunately these are deal breakers so I have to give 2 stars despite the following pros Pros: 1) location. Definitely well located 2) nice clean apartment 3) low $500 security deposit, which was returned without much hassle 4) didn't have a problem with the noise some here have complained about or the parking Personally because of the cons I would never lease here or recommend it, but if you are aware of and ok with all the fees and know you can stick to their lease schedule, then it might work for you.

  I moved in this summer and have had a really pleasant experience so far. I enjoy the floor plans, the amenities, the location, and overall atmosphere.

  The Vue has been a great space and I love the layout of my apartment. The location is close to downtown and other parts of Des Moines and I appreciate the accessibility.
