  I have been a resident at Velocity for two years now. My time here started out very pleasant, but over the past year, the quality of care and regard for tenant’s wellbeing has sharply declined. After multiple complaints about individuals accessing our property and using our public areas to smoke indoors, management has yet to tackle the issue. This has been an ongoing issue for many months now and has made Velocity a very unpleasant place to call home. When talking with building managers, we have been informed that steps have been taken to ensure building security, but have time and time again been shown that the building is not secure and rules are not being enforced. Not only are individuals able to easily access indoor spaces, but outdoor security is also not a priority to building management. Our pool gates remain unlocked during the day during busy summer months, allowing for anyone to access the pool and pool deck, even if they are not residents at the property. Even after multiple closures last season due to furniture in the pool and glass broken on the pool deck, management still neglects our building security and refuses to listen to active residents who are trying to make this community pleasant to live. With the pool gates not being locked, and with anyone able to gain access to the building using residents’ codes, it is very clear that security is not a priority to management at Velocity and as residents we are disappointed with our experience living here and cannot in good faith recommend this complex to friends and family. We do not feel heard as residents and have time and time again been let down by management. We are losing faith that anything will be done about these issues and wish our community was the respectful, and well managed community it was made out to be when we first signed our lease.

  I am very disappointed in how this apartment complex has changed over the last 2 years of living there. Concerns go unheard, never get any real answers, and management is very reactive to anything that arises instead of being proactive. Very disappointed and glad to have moved out. Very sad when you have to tell your friends who are looking to move downtown to avoid this place.

  We’ve lived here for about 2 years and it started out great, but lately things have gotten worse. People keep smoking in the public club room, and it’s leaking into apartments nearby and making the entire floor stink. We’ve sent so many emails over the past few months and have been told that they believe people are trespassing, but zero steps have been taken to ensure the safety of the residents.
