- MIMfonAbasi I.Aug 7, 20261.0Shady and ridiculously long-drawn-out application screening process, avoid all Balfour Residential properties!!! This is the second Balfour apartment (Balfour 296 was the first) that I have applied to, but have been unjustly rejected, stating both times that I have "insufficient income". Mind you, I have no debt, my credit score is higher than the minimum stated, and my income is higher than 3x the rent of the meagre $860 unit I applied for. Even worse, they took 9 business days, totalling 14 days to screen the application, before emailing me the vague application denial explanation. To prove that Balfour apartments and apartments in general are scamming people for their fees, just to unjustly reject qualified people like me without refunding them - The first time they declined my application, I applied to a private landlord who did quick background and credit checks, and accepted me within a few days, and now same has happened with another landlord whose rent is way higher ($1,150) by the way.

I have recommended this location to a few people and they are happy. The only reason why I left is I had an opportunity that came up that I couldn't let go. But if there was a situation I would move back. The neighbors I had were nice. Thank you for the memories.
