I’ve had a fantastic experience with the leasing office at my apartment complex. They are incredibly responsive.. anytime I submit a maintenance request, it’s handled almost immediately! The staff is always professional and friendly, and the community is just amazing. I highly recommend living here!

Me and my fiancee have been living here since June 2025 and loved it at first. It was very clean, friendly staff, and a great location for everything. But recently it has gone downhill and we have hated living here. First, off when we left the apartment one morning the gate broke and came back and hit my car. Which I understand from the sign on the gate it isn’t the apartment responsibility for any damage caused by the gate. But when I went up to the office to let them know it was broken and it hit my car, the manager said “oh ok”. Not an apology or we will get it fixed. (The gate it broken 90% of the time and they have no urgency to fix it) Second, a homeless man was in the stairwell one day so I went to report it to the office. And they answer with “oh that’s weird thanks for telling us”. They did nothing further. Later that night the homeless man was laying 20 feet from our door on the 5th floor. So I had to call the cops to get it handled since the management did nothing about it. Third, we have had a dog in our building bark none stop for weeks all night and during the early hours of the night. Then they tried to blame it on us and said it was our dog. Don’t you think I would know if my dog was barking all night. Not to mention my dog has only been in our apartment 3 weeks out of the last two months…. When I went to talk to the manager about it she said they did a “maintenance check” to see if we had a dog yesterday and he was. On a Sunday. When the office isn’t open. Plus no notice they were coming into our apartment. We have two camera in our apartment. And our dog wasn’t home!! Overall, the management sucks. They don’t care about your living situation at this apartment. There’s always trash or dirt in the hallways and in the elevators. Elevators break and they don’t fix it for 3-4 days so sucks for you if you live on the 5th floor. I would not recommend moving here!!

Abby did a great job giving me a tour of the complex. She provided great information both about The Local and the surrounding area with examples of events and activities. I moved in 2 weeks ago and I'm happy with my decision to move in.

**DO NOT RENT ONE OF THESE APARTMENTS** I moved into The Local Sugar Hill in April of 2024. At first, I enjoyed my time living there. The staff was friendly, and aside from the occasional noisy neighbor and overflowing dumpster, there were not too many problems. When I was offered an opportunity to extend my lease, I accepted. Shortly after I renewed my lease, the water pressure in my apartment plummeted. I was unable to bathe properly, could not wash my dishes effectively, and my clothes washer was unable to complete a cycle (see pictures). I immediately reported the problem, but I was met with skepticism and doubt. I visited the office several times and re-reported, but they told me it had something to do with nearby construction, and that they could not fix the problem. I lived in these conditions for four months before I decided I could not take it anymore. I was paying an exorbitant monthly rent for a “luxury apartment,” but my shower and appliances were useless. I informed the staff by certified mail that since they could no longer provide the amenities I was paying for each month, I planned to vacate the apartment by the end of the year, giving them 60 days notice. The property manager said that if I vacated the apartment, I would be responsible for paying a $3000 early termination fee. I offered to pay half the fee (an extra month’s rent), just to resolve this amicably, but they refused. They told me that I could either live in the apartment without improved water pressure, or I could pay the termination fee. It’s four months since I moved out, and they have reported my debt to a collection agency. My attorney has informed me that there is very little recourse to fight this injustice. They will attack my credit until I succumb to their pressure, but I will not submit to this evil practice. Let my story be a warning. Don’t let this happen to you! **DO NOT RENT ONE OF THESE APARTMENTS**

Have had an issue with packages saying they were delivered but I can’t find it. Zero help from front office. They told me to check an apartment complex across the street. The apartment complex I DONT live in was kind enough to check their package room and even take down my information in case it turned up. The Local…that gets A LOT of money from me only decided to help after I pointed out that The Lyric was much more helpful even though I don’t even live there. Something to consider.
