I don’t usually leave reviews, but this situation really deserves to be shared.
We first reported a leak in our ceiling on January 26 after a branch hit the roof during an ice storm. Maintenance came out and patched the inside, but never actually fixed the hole in the roof. Unsurprisingly, the problem kept getting worse.
By March, our bedroom ceiling collapsed—not once, but twice. The second time it happened in the middle of the night while we were sleeping, and insulation and debris fell all over us and our bed. I’m currently 5 months pregnant, so this wasn’t just inconvenient—it was genuinely concerning from a health and safety standpoint.
We submitted multiple urgent maintenance requests over several days, but there was little sense of urgency and almost no communication about when the issue would actually be resolved. In the meantime, debris continued falling into the room, and we had no choice but to sleep on the couch for 7 nights straight.
On top of that, our master bathroom shower was unusable for about a month. We were initially told nothing could be done, which was frustrating considering we’re paying for a 2 bed / 2 bath unit.
Yes, everything eventually got fixed—but only after repeated follow-ups, delays and threats of contacting code enforcement. The bigger issue here is how long it took and how poorly it was handled along the way.
We were offered a partial rent concession, but it didn’t feel proportional to what we experienced—especially considering we were still expected to pay in full while dealing with all of this.
Overall, this experience made it clear that urgent maintenance issues aren’t handled with the level of urgency or communication they should be.
Separately, the manager Jessica is so unprofessional. Our refrigerator stopped working and was making a loud, concerning noise on a Friday and not cooling properly. I explained that I’m pregnant and had just bought a full fridge of groceries that would likely spoil if the issue wasn’t addressed quickly. I was told they would “do what they could,” but that it might not be looked at until Monday.
Because of the urgency, I went into the office to speak with her directly, hoping to find a solution. Instead, I was met with a completely unprofessional response—she raised her voice at me, told me to “go home,” and rolled her eyes. It was incredibly dismissive and frustrating, especially given the situation.
That interaction, on top of everything else, really solidified my concerns about how residents are treated here when serious issues come up.
In conclusion, I've lived here for 5 years and it's just quickly going down hill fast. If you're looking for somewhere to rent, I'd look elsewhere if I were you. 1 star because the maintenance men are actually nice and try to help.
