  I want to begin by saying that I am extremely pleased with the quality of my home and with my construction manager, Collin Eberhart. He was professional, knowledgeable, accessible, and genuinely cared that I was happy with the finished product. Unfortunately, my experiences with the sales team and the closing attorney’s office did not reflect that same level of professionalism. Thus the reason for 4 Stars and not 5. When I first visited the community, I did not have an appointment with the sales agent, Zy. I understand that arriving without an appointment may have been an inconvenience, and I told her I would be happy to tour the model homes on my own. However, she was instructed to accompany me. Throughout the tour, I felt that she had little interest in assisting me. While I was walking through the homes, she frequently sat down and looked at her phone rather than engaging with me or explaining the features of the homes. I also found that she was unable to answer several important questions I had about the homes and the community. More concerning, I later learned that some of the information she provided was incorrect. Had I relied solely on that information, it might have influenced my decision not to purchase the home. The closing process was equally frustrating. My closing date was changed twice creating unnecessary confusion. After I believed we had finally settled on a date and time, another email was apparently sent changing the appointment time. Unfortunately, I overlooked that email and arrived at what I believed was the correct time. When I explained the situation to the staff at the sales office, I expected at least some understanding given the number of scheduling changes. Instead, I was met with an argumentative attitude rather than empathy or a willingness to help. There was no apology for the confusion, and I found the interaction to be unprofessional and disappointing. I chose to share these concerns because they stand in sharp contrast to the outstanding experience I had with their construction manager, Collin. The home itself exceeded my expectations, but the sales and closing experiences fell well below the standard of customer service I expected. Thank you for taking the time to read my comments.   We started looking for our forever retirement home in July and quickly knew Del Webb and their Renown floor plan at Lake Oconee was exactly what we were looking for. We were extremely fortunate to find our dream home was already completed on a beautiful lot and closed on it a month later one day early. We are looking forward to this next chapter of our life in this great community.

  I have lived here one year today and am so pleased with my home, the service and the coordination of any repairs, minimal, that were needed. I love the floor plan, and especially the kitchen and screened in porch. It is a beautiful community in a beautiful area.

  On one of our first mornings living in our lovely new home, my wife took this photo of a deer grazing in our back area. We have enjoyed the entire build process at Del Webb Lake Oconee, and look forward to learning more about our new community.
