  I do not recommend moving to this apartment complex, the first day we moved in, it was water leaking through the ceiling from the apartment above us, it’s not worth the price at all, you can tell the apartments are old, they just paint over the old stuff, you will get charged for things they supposed to come and do, but they will only come once every few months, you gotta put a request in for anything to get fixed, I had to wait a few days just to get my toilet fixed, trash can’s are always overflowing, walls are thin, I could hear the people on the other side of the wall coughing and talking, I could hear the people above us walking and running, there was plenty of bugs coming from the outside through the holes in the floor, you can smell everything through the vents on the wall, you can smell if they are smoking in the house or lighting up the fire place, it was just a bad experience for out first apartment, I do not recommend moving here!!

  BEWARE!!! Very sketchy apartment complex. When I moved in back in 2016, they had just remodeled my apartment and were still working on the whole complex. Decent apartment other than the AC going out constantly (once I had no AC for almost 2 weeks during the summer because they had to get a part...) and the fact that when I moved in I had to deal with about 5 boxes of lighting equipment and other junk that the workers left, taking up my whole dining area. It took them over 2 months to get that out, leaving my dining area useless. I should have just thrown everything out. They have been holding a $1,100 collection on my credit for 3 years. I have paid in full. I did not receive my security deposit back and they are unwilling to take this account off my credit. The account is CLOSED. Edgewater actually owes ME money. I’m going to have to take this to court. I have tried to resolve this but they are not having it. I have all documents showing that I’ve paid in full and that they actually owe ME money. Also, the rent is way too high. I had to make a quick decision so I paid it. I paid 900/mo for a 1 bedroom with no view or anything special. They also automatically go up on the rent every so often. Some 1 bed apts in there are $1,100+. That’s crazy! That’s not including amenities, of course. So for me, it was around $1,300 for everything in a 1 bed 1 bath. 😑 Finally, when I moved out after a year, I thought I was done with that place. Nope. Three years later, they put on my credit that I owe them almost $1200! I admit that I did get behind 1 month but paid that and the late fees included. In conclusion, I would not recommend this place if you don’t want your credit hurt or if you want the apartments to take care of their responsibilities as a landlord. $900+amenities for a 1 bedroom and poor complex care and increasing rent by $100 is all just a horrible deal. Beware. Don’t get trapped in their lease. Also, constant drug deals going on, loud music, plumbing, AC and other utilities constantly breaking and taking weeks to fix. Oh, they never fixed my back door to my porch either. 🤷🏼‍♂️ If you care about your safety, your credit score and you want to live in a peaceful, quiet complex...this is not the place for you! I don’t usually leave reviews but I had no choice with this place. When I moved out, I spent 2 days scrubbing the place down, though I always kept it clean. I wanted to do the right thing. I left it better than when I moved in. This has not just happened to me. I have heard from about 3 other previous residents with the same issue. Stay away! There are plenty of new complexes in Gainesville now that are way more professional and treat you with respect.

  Great place to live in the Gainesville area! The amenities have recently been upgraded, and the pool is huge! Upgraded fixtures and flooring in the units make for a trendy apartment. Would recommend, and the office staff is extremely helpful and nice!
