I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Evergreen Apartments.
Over the past several months, I have called, emailed, and personally visited the front office regarding multiple concerns, yet I have received little to no meaningful response. Most recently, a snake was found near my apartment in an area where children regularly play. I immediately contacted maintenance because I was concerned for the safety of residents and children in the community. Unfortunately, I received no response. I also contacted corporate and received no response from them either.
Communication from management has been one of the biggest issues. For the amount of rent residents are paying, there should be better customer service and accountability. My rent was increased by approximately $150, despite the fact that my apartment was not fully renovated as promised. Before moving in, I was assured that certain issues would be fixed, but those promises were never fulfilled. Shortly after I moved in, the entire front office staff was replaced, leaving many concerns unresolved.
In addition to the unresolved maintenance issues, the A/C condenser unit outside my apartment is extremely loud and has been a constant disturbance. This issue has also been brought to management's attention, but like many other concerns, it has not been properly addressed.
I have repeatedly reported mold and mildew issues in my apartment. As someone living with serious health conditions, including cancer recovery, Crohn's disease, asthma, and diabetes, these conditions are especially concerning. Management has been made aware of my situation, yet I continue to live with these issues.
My daughter serves as my caregiver, and relocating is not something we can simply do overnight. Moving is expensive, and many residents do not have the financial ability to leave when problems arise. Residents deserve safe living conditions, honest communication, and management that responds when concerns are raised.
I am sharing my experience in hopes that management and ownership will take resident concerns seriously and make meaningful improvements for the people who call this community home. Right now, I feel ignored, overlooked, and taken advantage of despite making every effort to communicate my concerns through the proper channels.
