  Prior resident review- lived there for 2 1/2 years. Started off as SLX then switched to the Deco within our first year. The upscale decor was changed to normal decor. The pool is nice and gym view was nice. And the “look” of the apartments are great… here are the cons we dealt with: 7 months of noise complaints from our neighbors above, below and next to us. The walls and floors are paper thin. When asked to be let out of lease, corporate said no and then offered to just move us to a different unit but would still make us pay. You can hear pipes knocking in the walls if someone above you is running water/ showering. We experienced 3 plumbing leaks in our shower. The first 2 leaks in our second shower were unrepaired. for months and signs of mold were seen. But were treated or sprayed of some sort. The last one was in our master bathroom and was never fixed before our lease was up. 2 months without our main shower. The gates are always broke, along with the 6th floor door. People let their dogs poop and pee in the hallways without picking up for hours or not at all. And if you live street side, be prepared for on-going police sirens, ambulances and fire trucks all times of the day/night. And the on-going street racing. Lastly depending on who you talk to in the leasing office, one person maybe nice and the next is rude and not helpful. 50/50 chance!

  I would like to commend Kayla, who works at our building's reception; unlike the other receptionist, she provides excellent service and is always polite and caring.

  I’ve had a great experience with The Deco 5211, especially throughout my move-in process. Shanaye has been extremely helpful, professional, and attentive from the very beginning. She made sure my move-in went smoothly and took the time to address any questions or concerns I had along the way. What I appreciate most is that she consistently follows up on requests to ensure everything has been completed to the resident’s satisfaction. Her communication and willingness to help have made settling into the community much easier and more enjoyable. It’s refreshing to have someone in the leasing office who genuinely cares about the resident experience. Thank you, Shanaye, for making my transition to The Deco 5211 such a positive one!

  I lived in a studio apartment here for about 9 months before buying out of my lease because of a job opportunity elsewhere. First of all, it’s very expensive for limited and poorly kept amenities. There’s much cheaper in the area and just as nice. Second, the leasing office (Maiasia) is seriously incompetent and straight up shady. Two weeks after paying my July rent, they sent me an eviction notice because I “missed July rent.” But really, they just added my buy-out fees to my balance and mistook it as missed rent. Instead of making it right by simply apologizing for the mistake, Maiasia doubled down to tell me that buying out of a lease “puts you in default” and that I made verbal agreements to pay this buy out fee 30 days earlier than it was due. Seeing as I was at work, busy, and 100% confident that she was just mistaken and rude— I was not worried. But I was severely frustrated that I had to go through such a massive headache with them just to be right in the end but never apologized to and never explained to what happened. They do not follow up. Send them an email with questions or concerns, and I promise if you get an email at all you’ll only get an answer to one thing you mentioned lol. Overall, just another shady complex with incompetent property staff, leaky showers, overcharging for water bills (community wide issue), lackluster gym, cold hot tub, poor trash valet services, and an otherwise great location. Highly recommend you look elsewhere and if you do sign— read & understand your lease because they’re not going to understand it one bit. I am sure I will get some reply or “clarification” from them. As an apartment hunter, I implore you to take what they say with a metric ton of salt.
