  I called Mark Spain to get an offer on a house being sold in Cumming, GA. The process isn’t what it seems as they use investors to make offers on your property. I had to call the Mark Spain representative multiple times to get updates on the bidding process. One investor appraised the home between $680k to $704k and the offer came in below $550k. The Mark Spain representative did a terrible job keeping me updated and I would not recommend their services. I listed the home with another broker and it sold for full asking price and closed in less than 30 days.

  I scheduled an appointment with Mark Spain Real Estate specifically because of their advertised cash offer program and what I experienced was nothing short of misleading. They took an hour and a half of my time just to show up and push a traditional listing instead of delivering what was promised. When I asked about the actual cash offer I was basically told it would be extremely low anyway which makes their entire cash offer pitch feel like nothing more than a tactic to get in the door. This felt like a complete bait and switch. If you are advertising cash offers then actually stand behind it instead of using it to pressure homeowners into listing their property. The whole experience came off as disingenuous and a waste of time. I would strongly caution anyone considering them especially if you are expecting a legitimate straightforward cash offer.

  Mark Spain advertises everywhere around where I live in Dahlonega. On Radio, TV and Social Media. When I asked to get a "Guaranteed Offer" from Mark Spain, they said they do not cover the Dahlonega area yet they still advertise that they do

  Under contract in less than 48 hours and for OVER ASKING PRICE!! Is there any better review then that? After several months of unsuccessfully listing our Pine Lake, GA property with a different firm, changing to Mark Spain was the right move for us! Our agent, Holly Mahaffey, was the total professional package and a true answer to our prayers. She hit the ground running with the right strategic marketing plan and provided the perfect balance of assertive sales tactics with the thoughtful handholding support my partner and I needed to get our house sold. I must admit that we may go on record as one of her more “high maintenance” clients but she handled us with care and a level of responsiveness that was truly first class! Selling a home can be a very emotional process and Holly was there for us all the way! However, make no mistake, she was no-nonsense and a true advocate for us during the negotiation phase – as real estate professionals ourselves we couldn’t have asked for more to maximize our ROI. Holly Mahaffey has made clients of us for life and we will definitely refer her to others in the future!
