This has been the worst rental experience I've ever had.
From my very first walkthrough with Bailey, I pointed out several issues with the apartment, including a bathtub that appeared dirty, a bathroom light that wasn't working properly, a poor paint job, an old and dirty stove, rusted fixtures, and other maintenance concerns. I was told there was nothing that could be done. Unfortunately, I had already given up my previous apartment, so I had no choice but to move in. I remember crying because I couldn't believe I was paying so much for an apartment I was so unhappy with.
Months later, after I emailed corporate, many of those issues were finally addressed. That made me wonder why Bailey couldn't have helped resolve them before I moved in.
I also chose this property because it advertised itself as a secure, gated community. However, the entrance gate is constantly broken, and the fitness center door lock remained broken for months until I brought it to management's attention. Residents are charged for common-area amenities like electricity and cable, yet the clubhouse is often unavailable because it is reserved for outside rentals.
I also had an incident where I requested that management review security camera footage for my own peace of mind. I was told that only law enforcement could access the footage, which I understand. However, I expected at least a phone call from the property manager to show concern or follow up. Instead, I felt dismissed and met with indifference.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property to anyone looking for a secure, well-managed community. As a single Black woman paying these high rental costs on my own, I often felt that I was treated differently and unequally. While I can't know the reasons for every interaction, that was my experience, and it left me feeling unwelcome and unsupported throughout my time here.
