  When I moved here it was called the Mille* and it was trash then. The parking garage always was horrible and definitely a glorified luxury trap house. I'm not surprised it going downhill since then.

  IF YOU ARE THINKING OF MOVING HERE, THIS WILL BE A LONG BUT IMPORTANT REVIEW! Since I moved here, friends have asked me whether I'd recommend this apartment, and my answer has always been the same: no. So I thought I'd leave the honest review I wish I'd been able to read before moving in. The last time I genuinely enjoyed living here was when I first moved in. It's been downhill ever since. A few months after I moved in, there was a fire that caused structural damage to the parking deck. Granted, that was an unforeseen event, but what really stood out was how management handled it. The lack of empathy and consideration for residents was astonishing. Because the temporary parking areas were constantly full, many residents ended up parking wherever they could. Instead of acknowledging that people had very few options, tickets were issued and cars were towed. I can't tell you how many nights I drove around looking for a parking space, sat in my car waiting for one to open up, or ended up late because they switched to a cheaper valet company that clearly didn't have enough staff to keep up with demand. The garage has partially reopened, but guests are still required to park off-site and go through a registration process. Having visitors should not be this complicated. There's also been little to no consideration for guests who may be elderly, disabled, or unable to make that walk. To make matters worse, there has been virtually no communication about when repairs to the parking deck will actually be completed. From what I can tell, the work appears to have stalled because I haven't seen any progress in weeks. On top of that, another section of the third floor parking garage has been cordoned off - like are we joking? Then there's maintenance. I submitted a request because my dishwasher wasn't cleaning my dishes properly. Maintenance came out and suggested I switch detergents, which I did. When it became obvious that the detergent wasn't the issue, their response was, "Dishwashers were never meant to wash dishes - they're only meant to sanitize them. You have to hand wash them first." Seriously? This isn't the first dishwasher I've ever used. I know how dishwashers work. If the dishwashers at The Hendrix are only expected to "sanitize" already hand-washed dishes (not rinsed, FULLY WASHED), then I think prospective residents deserve to know that. There have been other maintenance issues that have frustrated me as well, but I won't make this review any longer than it already is. I'll end with this: as a current resident, I am counting down the days until my lease ends. I have started my apartment search! You can decide for yourself whether this sounds like somewhere you'd want to spend your hard-earned money. Wishing you the best with your apartment search.
