A Once-Great Community That Has Lost Its Way
When we moved into 500 Northside Circle NW in February 2024, we were genuinely impressed with the community. It was a beautiful apartment complex, the residents seemed to get along, and the amenities were always well maintained and enjoyable. Even the amenity fee included with our rent was reasonable and manageable. At that time, we really felt like we had found a great place to call home.
Unfortunately, fast-forward to 2026, and the community has changed considerably—and not for the better.
The leasing office staff who were here when we moved in are no longer here, and the current staff does not provide the same welcoming atmosphere. Customer service feels very different now. The staff often seem unfriendly and unapproachable, and even when there is a smile, it can feel more forced than genuine. That personal connection with residents seems to be missing.
I do want to give major kudos to the maintenance team. They are absolutely extraordinary. They are professional, knowledgeable, well-trained, and responsive. Whenever we have needed something repaired, they have handled it quickly and efficiently. The maintenance staff deserves recognition for the excellent work they continue to do.
The pool, unfortunately, is another disappointment. Every summer, when residents actually want to use it, it seems to be closed almost as much as it is open because of repairs or maintenance issues. I honestly don't understand why some of these repairs aren't addressed during the winter months when the pool is already closed, but that's probably why I'm not a leasing agent!
There are also increasing issues with trash and cleanliness. Garbage is sometimes left in the middle of the islands and common areas, and it seems like some of the community standards and protocols that were once followed are no longer being enforced consistently.
It's honestly a shame because this is still a great location with a lot of potential. The community itself could be something special again, but it feels like things are going downhill—and they're going downhill quickly.
I really hope management takes the concerns of longtime residents seriously and works to restore the sense of community, cleanliness, customer service, and pride that existed when we first moved here.
And finally… Gianna, we miss you, girl! ❤️ You definitely left some big shoes to fill!
