I would not recommend living at The Ivy Apartments, even if the rent seems affordable. My experience has been extremely disappointing when it comes to how management handles resident concerns.
I made multiple complaints (over five) about my roommate smoking marijuana inside the apartment, which is a direct violation of the lease agreement. This was especially concerning because I am pregnant, yet my complaints were not taken seriously or properly addressed.
Despite reporting the issue several times, nothing meaningful was done. Every time I tried to follow up or ask questions, I was met with dismissive attitudes and it felt like my concerns were an inconvenience rather than something that needed action.
It also feels like communication and accountability are lacking. Issues that directly affect a resident’s health and living situation do not seem to be a priority unless it benefits the property financially.
Overall, I would caution anyone considering living here to think carefully. A lower price is not worth the stress of feeling unheard and unsupported in your own home.

So you want to live at the IVY? Here is what to know: There are homeless people living out of cars on the property, visitor spaces are mostly filled by residents, the exit gate is left wide open and the entrance is sometimes opened or closed, the pest control guy will only spray around your door, the IVY will say you have dishes in the sink causing the bugs, and if you want to resign your lease the new resident move in price will be lower. The current new resident price for my 2 by 2 is 689$ and they offered my brother and I, 830$ each for resigning. Neither of us have ever missed a rent payment in 2 years, yet new residents are valued higher than us. The gates here at the IVY are bipolar, sometimes they are open for weeks at a time, sometimes they are closed, but never are both closed at the same time. What even is the point of a gate if one side is opened? Also using #1234 works at all times so in reality the gate is useless. In my time living here we have had roaches, people driving like idiots in the parking lots, neighbors evicted, cops called to the property on many occasions, and to top it all off they enter the apartment basically once a month for quarterly checks/ fire inspections/ installing a new lock that doesn't even fit on the door properly. Seriously, my door needs me to slam my whole body weight against it just to open at times. In addition, maintenance/ the person inspecting the property will knock once maybe twice and then just fully open your door. I have had maintenance open my bedroom door with me in the shower and the only reason I know so much about it is my brother watched them do it while I heard them. I don't want to be entirely a negative nancy so here is some solutions for the IVY: give one free parking permit per leaser (we already pay rent do you need the 40$s pure profit added onto that really?) , notify residents the day before maintenance or entering an apartment ( seriously it isn't that hard to send an email day of for example having an employee email the same email to each resident they plan to visit that day), stop blaming renters for bugs (really dumb thing to do here. Lets think rationally; there are bugs day one of me moving in and still bugs now. Common denominator is the apartment.), make both gates an exit and entrance gate ( people already enter the exit open gate and other people will break the gate box in order to get in the entrance), and most of all at least offer a resign price at the same value as new renters (self explanatory: a good tenant should be offered a good deal).
I wouldn't have made this review if the IVY didn't respond to my brother's review basically blaming the tenants.
I wouldn't have made this review if the IVY didn't tell me the resign price isn't as low as the new renter price because that is just a special promotion offered this month. (The resign price of 830$ has been higher than the new renter price for the last 4 months including now my move out month)
I wouldn't have made this review if the IVY wasn't so egregiously overcharging me every month for the last two years.
Sure there were mushrooms growing out of the ceiling in my brother's bathroom, but lets blame the tenants for it.
Sure the apartment was dirty and had stained carpet on move in day, but honestly that is the tenants fault for sure.
TLDR: Live here if you are prepared to get ripped off and you are mentally deficient.

A decent place to live (temporarily) if you can deal with living with roommates. The Ivy offers amenities, incentives, and activities for residents which is nice.

Just don’t live here. Price looks good but it’s not worth it. The surrounding area can get very dirty. I walk up to my apartment and there are dead/ alive roaches. The units are old and not looked after. If you get assigned to bld 19 apt 202 switch apartments. The apartment is a dump, I moved in and there are stains on the walls, roaches, furniture is damaged and missing, and the kitchen is horrendous. The roommates are loud and obnoxious making noise at all hours in the morning and night. If you get assigned room D in that apartment, don't even move in try to switch units. Ive also had problems with maintenance where they come to fix something and they leave a mess everywhere.
