I lived here for 10 months, and if I could give this place zero stars I would. I travel a lot for work, so I am often times out of town. As a result, I would often leave my trash outside to get picked up, but wouldn’t be back for a few days. Instead of saying something, they fined me. No email warning, no sign on the door, just a fine. They also took away the trash can. Once again, no warning, no email. The last month of my lease I wasn’t home, as I had already moved to my new property. However, there was a spill outside my door. The staff emailed me and said if I didn’t clean it up that day I would be fined. I explained that I was out of town and hadn’t been in my apartment in 3 days, but nonetheless I came back in town and cleaned up the mess. Then came my move out report. They charged me $50 for the spill. I called Teri to explain the situation. I never raised my voice, but explained to her that it was going to be a problem of principle for me if I was charged for a spill that I cleaned up. She told me that I was being threatening to her and she was going to leave the call, which is completely laughable. So because I said that would be a problem, I’m now threatening? She obviously didn’t want to be on the phone call, and showed zero empathy whatsoever. She was condescending, impatient, and flat out unprofessional. I was also charged a fee for leaving an expensive electric knife and mixer in one of the drawers in my kitchen. Instead of calling me or emailing me and asking if I would like to pick up my things, they threw it away. On top of that, they charged me $30. Her response was “when you move out, that’s abandoned items. People leave things al the time”. How hard is it to message someone and let them know they accidentally left something? Isn't that what a decent company would do? Keep in mind, I moved out over 2 weeks before my lease even expired. So instead of being understanding that mistakes happen, they tossed it and added insult to injury by charging me for it. Why charge someone for something that took 2 seconds to throw away? Finally, they charged me another fine for carpet cleaning due to “heavy traffic”. I live alone, and live in the apartment only about 3-4 days per week due to travel for work. I am a neat freak, and NEVER wear shoes in the apartment. I vacuumed the carpet once a week, and it was in the exact same condition that it was when I moved in. I asked her to provide me pictures, which she said she would, but of course she did not. It was at this point where Teri turned even more rude, and hung the phone up on me. At no point in our conversation did I ever raise my voice, call anyone a name, use foul language, or make any threats whatsoever. I was a good tenant, including never complaining when I saw multiple roaches and other bugs in my apartment (including 2 huge dead roaches in my apartment the day I moved in), not complaining when all but one of the EV charging stations were not working for the first 8 months of my lease (which I made very well known when I toured the place that it was the #1 reason I was looking at that place. No one told me they weren’t working), not complaining when I had to put in 3 different service appointments for my dishwasher and 2 for the sink, and leaving my apartment in as good of condition or better than it was the day I moved in. However, management took every opportunity to charge me whenever they could, and Teri was completely rude and unprofessional on the phone. I have every right to complain about the charges I incurred, yet she clearly didn’t want to deal with it. I highly recommend staying far away from this place. There is nothing luxurious about this place. I would highly encourage everyone to read all the reviews of this place. You will see others with a similar complaint, and in particular you will see others with a similar complaint about Teri. Obviously the company has read these reviews and have chosen to continue the way they treat their tenants. The person you meet when you are touring the property is not the same as when you move in.
