  apella is not a place I would recommend. i had multiple major issues while living there only one year. a mentally ill resident entered my apartment at 3 am and tried to steal my roommates dog. this went on for over an hour in our apartment and ended with police putting her in handcuffs. this was an extremely traumatic experience as we had no idea who she was. management was incredibly unhelpful with this event. we spoke to the manager, Isabella, numerous times about how uncomfortable we were living next to her and scared for our safety. Isabella claimed that there was nothing they could do and allowed the resident to move back into her unit only a few weeks later, which was right next door to us. We were never told, and instead found out by running into her!!!! It was not until I threatened a lawyer and presented their own lease terms that Isabella simply moved the resident to A DIFFERENT FLOOR. Along with this, your packages will go missing 80% of the time. After having numerous missing packages they “updated” their system to only allow staff members into the package room. Yet every package sits in the main office completely unattended until the staff feels like logging it. The front staff is incredibly incompetent. Multiple times I asked them for my package which was my graduation dress and the same staff member claimed it never arrived. The return date passed, and I went down to receive a different package. What did he hand me? My graduation dress that was delivered weeks prior. That staff member was rude and stated that “it just arrived today” (we all know it didnt). Isabella attempted to send me a gift card to replace the money lost for the dress but the site had scams and the money was taken from me. There is uncleaned vomit on every set of stairs. Spot the vomit! Someone had a blood splatter in the parking garage and it was never cleaned, it still remains let me know if you can spot it. The walls scuff so easily you could look at it wrong and it has marks. Why does that matter? Because they charge you $125 for a painting fee when you move out. Make sure you have a hotspot to do your work because the wifi is basically nonexistant. The elevators never work, in fact I witnessed multiple people get stuck in the elevators on numerous occasions. I could go on and on. Long story short, do not live here. There are much much cheaper options with much much better management.

  Positives- nice pool and onsite parking. Negatives- *rent is VERY high for the space you get *Less than builder grade paint- touch it and it scuffs (and you WILL be charged) *Mailroom is a HOT mess- multiple packages went missing and the student working literally lied about a package- just didn’t look. *vomit in the stairwells multiple times *EVERYONE uses the pool- including people that do not live there- they just wait until a resident can get them on the elevator and buss them up * fruit fly infestation everywhere

  The service team did nothing. Everytime I went to ask for help they faked like they would try to fix my issue and nothing was ever done. I always had to specifically be home to get a package sent to me because nobody was on top of anything. Also, I had a letter sent to me, and it was “lost” somehow and nobody knew what apparently happened or how to solve that issue. Overall nobody willing or urgent to help with anything

  Can never reach anyone in management and the wifi has barely worked in over a year. Every event seems to be around drinking. Love the apartment and the amenities as well as how close it is to UTampa. Told we have to do our own painting and touch up when moving out. I understand cleaning but patching and painting???

  I would not recommend living here, especially if you’re a student looking for a place that is safe and professionally managed. One of my biggest concerns was the building’s security. Several exterior doors with direct street access were often not properly secured, which made me feel uncomfortable about the safety of the property. The management and leasing staff were an even bigger disappointment. On multiple occasions, I was told that certain issues would be taken care of, only for nothing to be done. Instead of resolving problems, the staff often made the situation more stressful through poor communication and a lack of follow-through. As a college student, I ended up being charged significant amounts after relying on assurances from the leasing office that they would handle the issues. When the time came, those promises were not kept, leaving me responsible for costs that I believe could have been avoided with competent management
