  DO NOT RENT HERE! Having rented in Sarasota for nearly a decade, I can say without a doubt that Latitude 27 was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Over the past year, multiple people have asked me for local rental recommendations, and I always give them the same advice: DON’T DO IT. Thankfully, they listened. Here’s just a sample of what I dealt with living here: Smoking: A neighbor below me smoked weed almost daily for an entire year. I complained to the front office multiple times, but nothing ever really changed. You pay a fortune to live here just to smell weed constantly. Completely unacceptable. Damage to my car: A worker from their mandatory valet trash service put a massive dent in my vehicle while it was parked on the property. Luckily, my Ring camera caught the whole thing on video. Constant alarms: The fire riser room alarm repeatedly went off for days at a time. The sound was insanely loud and came straight through the walls into my apartment. Management would silence it, only for it to start happening again later. Security deposit: Icing on the cake, they kept part of my security deposit for something that I had documented as an existing issue before I moved in. Personally, I would never rent at Latitude 27 again. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are too many better and more affordable options in Sarasota to waste your money here.
