The experience of moving here has been great. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and concerns. I would especially like to mention Sam, she was and is a delight to work with. She made the entire process much easier and less stressful. She never made us feel like we were a bother or putting her out in any way. Unlike many places, nothing has changed after we moved into our place. The staff has continued to be very helpful and a delight to interact with daily. We look forward being here for a while. I would recommend this community to anyone.
Overall we enjoyed our time at the crossings at nine mile. The apartments were well maintained and everyone (residents and staff) were friendly. We had very few maintenance issues during our time there, and they were always addressed quickly.
Our dog, Rooster, also enjoyed the dog park and had dog friends to play with! The office and maintenance staff also always stopped to say hi to us and our dog while walking around.
I can not recommend this place enough! The Crossings at Nine Mile exceeds any and all other apartment communities in the Pensacola area. Any time I had a maintenance request, they were over within the hour. And the 3 ladies in the office go above and BEYOND for their residents. By far the best customer service I have ever experienced while renting. I bought a house, however, I was actually so sad to move out and leave!
Management actually enforces their policies and guidelines, resulting in a quiet, clean, and truly beautiful community. I never felt unsafe and loved that it was a walkable community with plenty of sidewalks and beautiful landscaping! Me and my dogs both made so many friends at the all turf Bark Park! If you’re looking for the perfect place to rent, The Crossings at Nine Mile is it!!
Don’t sign a lease here!!!
I’ll start with the maintenance issues. We were without A/C for a month, and it kept going out on and off. During Christmas, we were told they were leaving us without A/C, and the only alternative was a portable unit in our living room next to the Christmas tree. Not only was it inconvenient and loud, but it also looked tacky in the middle of the living room.
Once professionals finally came out to inspect the A/C, they informed us that management hadn’t even attempted to rush-order the part needed for repairs. Apparently, making sure we weren’t sweating through the holidays wasn’t a priority. We could have had A/C during Christmas because several places had the part in stock, but they chose the cheapest fix possible—at our expense.
Now let’s get to the safety issues. We were told that dogs on the property had to go through a safety screening, which turned out to be completely false. We have an 8-year-old lab/golden retriever mix who has never had any behavioral issues.
During finals week, another resident’s dog got off its leash and attacked both me and my dog. I was bitten on my hand and arm and was screaming for help because I genuinely thought this dog was going to kill my dog. The owner had to physically shield her dog to stop the attack and yelled for us to run.
Our dog required 20 stitches, and I was left with bruises and bite marks on my hands. The property manager assured us that the dog would be removed from the property and that, while the residents looked for a new home, it would have to be muzzled and walked by two people.
That was a year ago. The dog is still here—and it’s being walked without a muzzle.
Management repeatedly assures residents that issues will be addressed, but they never follow through. They do not prioritize the safety or well-being of their residents.
We’ve also spoken with other residents who reported similar A/C problems, and we learned that this same dog has attacked at least one other resident’s dog.
Overall, this property has shown a consistent pattern of neglect when it comes to both maintenance and resident safety. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere before signing a lease here.

We moved in from out-of-state last week. When we were looking for our new home, The Crossings at Nine Mile was the first and only place we toured and fell in love. The facilities are nice, the maintenance team is top-notch, and the office personnel are fabulous! Sam is very kind, knowledgeable, and has been a great help before, during, and after the whole moving experience. I am proud to call The Crossings my home!
