  We lived at the Courtney for about two years and just moved out this weekend. Honestly, we would have stayed here for MANY more years, but we were finally able to purchase a home! I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The office team is SO friendly and helpful. The maintenance team is top-notch. The units themselves feel spacious and nice. The tall ceilings and HUGE closets really made us feel like we had more space than we actually had! The office team is also doing fun extra stuff for the community like food trucks and pet of the month. The other residents are very friendly too. We even made a few neighbor friends while living there! We loved getting to call it home and hope others get to experience such a great living experience there like we did!

  Note usually one to write reviews but when I moved in my apartment was infested with roaches. We gave them multiple days to treat and we had to leave our stuff in the back of a uhaul for 3 days in the heat while I also ate those charges as well. Once we moved in we continued to see more and more roaches and told maintenance multiple times. They told us that there pest guy only comes on Thursday so we had to wait. For weeks we continued to see more and more and they wouldn’t do anything but tell us not to spray our own chemicals because it will mess with the treatment, but at that point it isn’t fair because I can’t unpack and fully move in because my apartment was infested. I also tried relocating to a different unit but when they responded to my email they ignored that request multiples times. After 3 weeks of seeing them I told the office I was leaving. I didn’t ask for money back or anything I only asked not to be charged the lease break fee and they told me they can’t waive it… I find it ridiculous you can’t do the bare minimum when I had to live with roaches. Joeski was a great leasing lady but the overall building and experience I had was awful. And I have multiple pictures and videos of the infestation

  I am extremely disappointed with how The Courtney at Lake Shadow has handled my application refund. I applied with a co-applicant, but we each paid our application amounts separately using our own individual payment methods. My payment was $187. After the application did not move forward, I spent more than a month repeatedly calling the leasing office regarding my refund. I had to continue following up before I was finally told that the refund had been processed. I then learned that instead of refunding us separately, the property combined the refund into one check and made the entire check payable solely to the other applicant. My name was not on the check at all, despite the fact that I paid my $187 separately. I never authorized my refund to be issued in another person’s name. I have continued trying to get this corrected and have requested assistance from management. The leasing agent confirmed that my concerns were forwarded to the Property Manager, but I still have not received a resolution from management. At this point, the amount of time and effort I have had to spend simply trying to recover money that I personally paid has been incredibly frustrating. I should not have to repeatedly chase a property management company to have my own refund issued correctly. I am still waiting for my $187 to be refunded directly to me and hope management resolves this promptly.
