We bought into EverBe for the lifestyle Pulte marketed, and day to day, that’s exactly what we’ve had: a resort-style community with onsite management and an activity director who made the place feel like a real community, not just a subdivision. That experience wasn’t a bonus. It was the pitch, and it was baked into the price.
Now, with zero resident input, the builder and board are swapping out our management company. The only thing residents are promised in writing is that the app stays the same. Whether our onsite team, the people who actually deliver that day-to-day experience, even keeps their jobs is, in the board’s own words, still being “determined.” So the exact thing that justified buying here is first on the chopping block, and we found out after the decision, not before.
And it may not be the last. Much of what sells EverBe still isn’t built. The main amenity center, the resort-style pool, the Barefoot Bar, the event stage, the food truck alley, all of it is the reason people tour this place and pay the premium. Yet EverBe’s own disclaimer says these amenities and “experiences that define life at EverBe” are subject to change and “under no obligation to be completed.” So the centerpiece you’re shown in the sales tour is something they reserve the right to scale back or never finish. The management change is just the first piece to go.
Decisions made over the heads of the people who live here cheapen a community marketed as anything but ordinary. If you’re buying at EverBe for the lifestyle, know that what you’re shown can be pulled out from under you without a say, and by their own words, without obligation.
