  Our building used JMK for one year and had a terrible experience. We terminated the arrangement and now have another management company. The office was difficult to reach and not responsive to resident/owner requests and queries. The staff lack experience in building management and had trouble with basic functions like managing communications and documentation. This is really just a front to drum up business for the owner's other companies in real estate, plumbing and air conditioning and construction.

  I wanted to write this review because I believe it's important to distinguish between the responsibilities of the property owners and those of the property management company. I understand that JMK Property Management cannot approve major building repairs or expenditures without the owners' authorization. However, residents rely on property management to communicate, follow up, and advocate on our behalf, and unfortunately, that has not been our experience. For almost a year, we've repeatedly reported an ongoing termite problem in our apartment. Other residents have reported the same issue, and there has been visible termite activity in common areas, including the laundry room. Despite this, the response has largely been limited to treating individual apartments rather than addressing what appears to be a larger building-wide problem. We continue to find termite wings and evidence of termite activity throughout our home. To be fair, JMK has advocated for us at times. However, those efforts often came only after repeated emails, phone calls, and persistent follow-up on my part. As a tenant, I don't feel it should take months of persistence just to get meaningful action or updates on serious maintenance concerns. Most residents simply don't have the time to constantly chase answers or push issues forward. Communication has also been inconsistent. There have been long periods where we were left wondering what was happening or whether concerns had even been escalated. Even when ownership is ultimately responsible for approving repairs, residents deserve timely communication and confidence that their concerns are being actively pursued. I genuinely believe this community could provide a much better resident experience if JMK took a more proactive approach to communication and consistently pushed ownership to address serious building-wide issues before they become long-term problems. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because we truly enjoy living here and simply want to see the level of management match the potential of this community.
